FACILITATING GENERALIZED CELL RESELECTION FOR NETWORK ENERGY SAVINGS USING GRAPH-BASED ABSTRACTIONS IN ADVANCED COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
Facilitating generalized cell reselection for network energy savings using graph-based abstractions in advanced communication networks is provided. A method includes determining, by a system comprising at least one processor, respective results of application of an objective formulation to respective combinations of a specified user equipment of a source cell and respective target cells of a group of target cells. A communication network comprises the source cell and the group of target cells. The method also includes, based on the respective results of the application of the objective formulation, facilitating, by the system, user equipment association that defines an action for a network traffic load balancing process that transfers network traffic of the specified user equipment from the source cell to a target cell of the group of target cells.
USAGE OF WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICE PROVIDER AUTONOMOUS SYSTEM NUMBER (ASN) IN A CLOUD-NATIVE WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK
Example embodiments are directed towards systems and methods for a fifth generation (5G) cloud-native wireless telecommunication network operated by a mobile network operator (MNO) implemented on a public cloud of a cloud computing service provider. Such a method may include the MNO operating telecommunication network functions (NFs) of the 5G wireless telecommunication network running within the public cloud. An indication may be received that one or more of the NFs of the 5G wireless telecommunication network running within the public cloud has a requirement to connect to another communication service provider (CSP) network different than the 5G cloud-native wireless telecommunication network operated by the MNO. Based on the indication, the system causes an autonomous system number (ASN) of the MNO to be used for network traffic from the one or more NFs to the other CSP network instead of an ASN of the cloud computing service providers.
Radio Access Network Architecture and Terminal Apparatus
This application provides a radio access network architecture. The radio access network architecture includes a cluster node and a serving node. The serving node provides task scheduling and executing functions, and the cluster node provides a region-level centralized collaboration function for the serving node and a collaboration function between cross-region cluster nodes.
Flexible software-defined radio access network architecture and methods for use therewith
A radio access network (RAN) system includes a plurality of capsules that operate in parallel to cooperatively perform RAN stack operations, each capsule utilizing a processor and a memory configured to perform a corresponding component of the RAN stack operations. The RAN stack operations result in: communicating backhaul communications with a core communication network; communicating fronthaul communications with a plurality of radio units configured to engage in wireless communications with a plurality of user equipment (UEs) via a radio channel of a radio network; converting, in accordance with a communication standard, received fronthaul communications from the plurality of radio units into backhaul communications transmitted to the communications network; and converting, in accordance with the communication standard, received backhaul communications from the communications network into fronthaul communications transmitted to the plurality of radio units.
Cellular system observability architecture
A system includes domains comprising systems generating data from the cellular network system. The domains may include cellular towers; a core network located on a public network and comprising a central unit (CU); and a series of clusters that each comprise a distributed unit (DU) that communicates with the CU and the cellular towers. The system may further include a single collection module that collects data from all domains relating to the cellular network system and stores the collected data on a public network, and a data output module to output the data of the cellular network to a business domain on the public network.
