20210014825 · 2021-01-14 ·

The present disclosure is related to a method and apparatus for monitoring paging messages. A method for monitoring paging messages includes receiving wake up signal (WUS) configuration information; identifying whether a WUS mechanism is enabled; and monitoring a paging message in a paging occasion (PO) based on predefined PO monitoring configuration information. Wherein the predefined PO monitoring configuration information is associated with whether the WUS mechanism is enabled and at least one of the WUS configuration information and channel quality. The present disclosure improves the efficiency of paging remote units in a PO.

Information processing device, and information processing method using multiple multiplexing methods

An information processing device includes a control unit. A first device that transmits data to the information processing device has a multiplexing function for multiplexing and transmitting data from a plurality of devices including the first device to the information processing device. The control unit provided in the information processing device performs control to tell the first device having the multiplexing function a multiplexing method for notification information and presence of data addressed to the first device. The notification information indicates that the first device has shifted from a functional suspension state to a data receivable state. The information processing device can reduce power consumption.

MOTORIZED WINDOW TREATMENT

A motorized window treatment for controlling the amount of daylight entering a space through a window includes a covering material, a drive shaft, and a motor coupled to the drive shaft for raising and lowering the covering material. The window treatment also includes a spring assist unit for assisting the motor by providing a torque that equals the torque provided by the weight on the cords that lift the covering material at a position midway between fully-open and fully-closed positions to minimize motor usage and conserve battery life. The window treatment may comprise a photosensor for measuring the amount of daylight outside the window and temperature sensors for measuring the temperatures inside and outside of the window. The position of the covering material may be automatically controlled in response to the photosensor and the temperature sensors, or in response to an infrared or radio-frequency remote control.

Method for managing non-chatty IoT devices to remain in an authenticated state

Methods for managing non-chatty IoT devices in a network are provided. In one aspect, a method includes receiving classification information identifying that an internet IoT device is connected to a port of a switch and determining that the IoT device has been inactive for a predetermined threshold period of time based on a logoff timer configured for the port. The IoT device is woken up from a power-save mode based on a guaranteed wakeup timer of the IoT device or a Wake-on-LAN packet sent to the IoT device by the switch. The logoff timer is then resent, causing the IoT device to remain in an authenticated state. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

INTERFERING DEVICE IDENTIFICATION

Example methods and systems are disclosed to facilitate detection and identification of devices connected to a cellular network and that are causing interference to the cellular network. An example method may include receiving, by a serving base station of the device, a first set of information associated with data communications of a device utilizing a cellular network. The method may further include determining the device is an interfering device based on the first set of information associated with the data communication substantially corresponding with an interfering device profile, and in response tracking the device. During the tracking of the device, a second set of information associated with the data communications from the device may be obtained, and an interfering device type of the device may be determined based on the second set of information. An action may be performed on the interfering device based on its interfering device type.

OPERATION WITH POWER SAVING IN CONNECTED MODE DISCONTINUOUS RECEPTION (C-DRX)
20200396684 · 2020-12-17 ·

A user equipment (UE), a base station (BS), and a method for managing UE operation in C-DRX. The UE includes a transceiver configured to receive configurations for a drx-onDurationTimer, search space sets for reception of a PDCCH, a first set of CSI-RS resources, SS/PBCH blocks, and a PUCCH resources; and the PDCCH that provides a DCI format including a field indicating whether or not to start the drx-onDurationTimer. A processor is configured to determine an indication by the field to not start the drx-onDurationTimer, and determine reception occasions for the first set of CSI-RS resources during the ON duration. The transceiver is configured to receive the first set of CSI-RS resources or the SS/PBCH blocks during at least one of the reception occasions. The processor is also configured to determine a CSI report based on a reception occasion, which can be transmitted using the PUCCH resource during the ON duration.

Method and apparatus for avoiding interference between WiFi operation and microwave oven operation

Examples and techniques pertaining to avoidance of interference between wireless operation and microwave oven operation are described. A processor configures at least one of a magnetron of a microwave oven or a wireless transceiver of the microwave oven. The processor then controls operations of the magnetron and the wireless transceiver such that wireless communication by the wireless transceiver is not interfered by radiation from the magnetron as a result of the configuring.

ULTRA-WIDEBAND (UWB) RECEIVER DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A UWB DEVICE

This disclosure relates to low energy communication techniques. According to some embodiments, a wireless transmission may be received by a wireless device. The wireless transmission may include a physical layer (PHY) preamble and PHY data. The PHY preamble may include destination information indicating a destination and length information indicating a length (or duration) of the wireless transmission. The destination and length information may be included prior to a portion of the PHY preamble configured for channel estimation. The wireless device may determine whether the wireless transmission is destined to the wireless device based on the destination information. If the wireless transmission is not destined to the wireless device, the wireless device may drop a remainder of the wireless transmission.
