Method for controlling an electric appliance and power control system for controlling the supply of an electric appliance
The invention refers to a method for controlling an electric appliance, in particular an electric household appliance (1, 11, 12). The electric appliance is coupled to an electric supply system, particularly to a line section (13) of an electric supply system. The electric supply system has a, preferably fuse-protected, limited electrical power transfer capacity. The electric appliance is operated by an operating program, which comprises at least one program segment during which relevant electrical power consumption is drawn from the electric supply system, particularly from the line section (13) of the electric supply system. The operating program is controlled based on at least one of:the electrical power currently providable by the electric supply system;the electrical power allocatable to the electric appliance by the electric supply system at present or on short notice;the voltage value or amperage value currently existent in the electric supply system during the operation of the electric appliance;a voltage drop or voltage difference or an amperage change currently occurring in the electric supply system at the moment of starting an operating program with relevant electrical power consumption;a result of a comparison of a measured energy consumption information with a reference energy consumption information.
Method and Apparatus for Controlling Operation of Range Top Coils for Cooking
A range has burner coil elements which have temperature switches as a portion of the replaceable coils. Upon reaching a predetermined temperature, the switch opens and power through the burner element is secured. The burner elements are preferably open coil units. Lowering the temperature in a cooking utensil below common ignition temperatures while still allowing boiling is an objective of many embodiments.

Food processing apparatus and method
An apparatus, including a food processor having a housing having a first section and second section, which second section is elongate in shape and houses at least a portion of a rotating member; a food processing attachment connected or attached to an end portion of the second section; and a plate capable of serving as a cover or lid for a cooking pot capable of being heated by a heating source. The plate has an opening for receiving the second section which is capable of being slideably moveable in and through the opening in a bi-directional manner to raise or lower a position of the food processing attachment, or to move the food processing attachment up or down, inside the cooking pot by a movement of the second section vertically up or down through the opening during a cooking or food processing operation in the cooking pot.
FOOD PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus, including a cooking pot; and a food processor including a housing having a first section and second section, a food processing attachment, and a plate. The first section houses an electric motor. The second section is elongate in shape and houses a portion of a rotating member. The second section has a first end portion, connected or attached to the first section, and a second end portion. The food processing attachment contains a food processing element connected or attached to the second end portion of the second section. The rotating member is mechanically connected or coupled to the food processing attachment. The plate is sized to be placed on, or attached to, a top of the cooking pot. The plate contains an opening for receiving the second section which is capable of being slideably moved in and through the opening in the plate in both directions.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING HEAT PRESERVATION FOR ELECTRONIC COOKER
Provided is a method and device for an electronic cooker to control heat preservation. The method includes: acquiring holding temperature data for a food; predicting serving time point data for the food; acquiring serving temperature data for the food at a time point indicated by the serving time point data; determining time point data of terminating the heat preservation for the food in accordance with the serving time point data, the serving temperature data, and the holding temperature data; and terminating the heat preservation for the food at a time point indicated by the time point data of terminating the heat preservation.
SWITCH FOR A COOKING APPLIANCE
A switch for operating a heating element of a cooking appliance includes a first contact electrically connected with the heating element, a second contact electrically connected with a power source. A bimetal strip is configured to electrically connect and disconnect the first and second contacts. The switch further includes a rotatable cam member having a cam surface for operative engagement with a cam follower. The cam surface has a profile dimension that is at least partially variable about the rotational axis of the cam member and is configured to cause displacement of the cam follower as a function of its rotational orientation to thereby adjust an operating temperature of the heating element. The cam surface is configured such that the operating temperature can be adjusted up to but not beyond a predetermined maximum temperature via rotation of the cam member. Circuits incorporating such a switch also are disclosed.
