ANALYSIS DEVICE FOR ANALYZING EXPIRATION AIR
An analysis device for analyzing expiration air of a patient, preferably for monitoring a patient under anesthesia during a medical intervention, is configured for determining, in the expiration air, a portion of an analyte contained in the expiration air. The analysis device preferably has a multi-capillary column for separating the expiration air to be analyzed and an ion mobility spectrometer in which gas components of the expiration air are ionized and accelerated toward a detection device. The analysis device can output signal excursions which are created by the ionized gas components of the expiration air which hit the detection device. A portion of the analyte which is to be determined and is contained in the expiration air to be analyzed is determined by a calibration of the signal excursion of the analyte to a signal excursion which is caused by the air moisture of expiration air.

PLASMA GENERATION APPARATUS
Provided is a plasma generation apparatus including: a housing in which a window is defined at one side in a first direction; a stick type plasma source provided in the housing to generate plasma toward the window; and a driving unit coupled to the plasma source to allow one end of the plasma source to perform a reciprocating movement in a second direction that is a longitudinal direction of the window.
Method and apparatus for torsional magnetic reconnection
A method and apparatus for forming torsional magnetic reconnection, and converting stored magnetic energy into charged particle kinetic energy and particle acceleration, is claimed. A torsional magnetic reconnection apparatus generally comprises (1) a vacuum environment housing (2) a plurality of conducting coils to form a magnetic field fan-spine topology and (3) a plasma generation device providing an azimuthal magnetic field perturbation such that current sheets are formed and magnetic reconnection processes can occur. Electric current energization of the plurality of conducting coils generates a potential magnetic fan-spine topology. A simultaneous capacitor bank discharge forms and axially drives a plasma sheath, featuring an azimuthal magnetic field, toward the fan-spine magnetic null that forces the diffusion of magnetic flux through the plasma. This magnetic to plasma kinetic energy conversion process accelerates charged particles far away from the reconnection region along open magnetic field lines.
PLASMA GENERATION MODULE, PURIFICATION COMPONENT, DEVICE AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
A plasma generation module includes a first electrode that includes a linear structure of a flexible material; a second electrode having a structure made of a flexible material and is disposed opposite to the first electrode. The first electrode and the second electrode are configured to form a linear discharge region between the first electrode and the second electrode. The plasma generation module includes a dielectric layer provided between the first electrode and the second electrode.
Nozzle, substrate processing apparatus including the same, and substrate processing method
The inventive concept provides a nozzle for dispensing a treatment liquid in which plasma is generated. The nozzle includes a body having an interior space, a liquid supply unit that supplies the treatment liquid into the interior space, and electrodes that generate the plasma in the interior space. The liquid supply unit supplies the treatment liquid in a bubbling state into the interior space, or causes the treatment liquid to bubble in the interior space.
Needle-based synergistic double helix electrode dielectric barrier discharging tube
A dielectric barrier discharge tube includes a quartz tube, the middle of the quartz tube is sleeved with a high-voltage electrode, an inner electrode is arranged in the quartz tube, a drive fan is arranged at the end of the inner electrode, a discharging needle set is arranged on the surface of the inner electrode, and a spiral discharging wire is suspended and arranged at the tip of the discharging needle set. After a high voltage electric field is applied to the high voltage electrode, the discharging needle set and the spiral discharging wire discharge, the discharging needle set and the spiral discharging wire discharge at different time points. When the gas passes through the driving fan, the flow direction of the gas is changed. A cyclone can be generated to drive the gas to flow towards the discharging area.
Method for making and using cold atmospheric plasma stimulated media for cancer treatment
A method for preparing cold atmospheric plasma stimulated cell culture media with a cold atmospheric plasma system having a delivery port out of which an inert gas flows. The inert gas may be helium. The method comprises the steps of placing a cell culture media in a first well, the first well having a bottom and having a diameter greater than 20 mm; wherein the cell culture media placed in the first well has a volume of 4 ml or less, treating the cell culture media in the first well with cold atmospheric plasma, wherein the treating is performed with a gap between the delivery port and the bottom of the first well is between 2.5 cm and 3.5 cm, and transferring a portion of the treated media to cultured cancer cells in a second well. The cold atmospheric plasma may be applied for 0.5 minutes to 2 minutes.
ELECTRODE ARRANGEMENT FOR PLASMA TREATMENT AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A TRANSCUTANEOUS CONNECTION
A transcutaneous connection between an exterior and an interior of a human or animal body includes a cylindrical skin penetration piece which provides a passage through the skin and has a longitudinal axis that determines the direction of passage through the skin. Wound-healing action and reliable disinfection are effected using an annular flat electrode arrangement, which has a contact surface at an angle to the longitudinal axis, can be fastened to the skin penetration piece. The electrode arrangement includes a flat electrode and a flat dielectric shielding the electrode relative to the surface of the skin, and is designed as a counter-electrode to generate a dielectric barrier plasma between the dielectric and the surface of the skin.
