The invention is based on a fixing unit (20, 20a) for reversibly fixing a moveable unit (18, 18a). For the purpose of providing a fixing unit with improved characteristics regarding flexibility, construction and/or a fixation, it is proposed that the fixing unit (20, 20a) is moveable parallel to a move direction (28, 28a) of the moveable unit (18, 18a) into a release position in order to release the moveable unit (18, 18a) from a guiding rail (26, 26a).

Snap rivets for securing printed circuit board assemblies

A system includes a computing system, a snap rivet, and a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA). The computing system includes a chassis. The snap rivet includes a rivet and a cap, and the cap is secured to the chassis. The PCBA includes a pin base. The pin base has a washer portion with a hole. The pin base is configured to receive the cap through the hole. The cap protrudes through the hole and mechanically engages the rivet to secure the PCBA to the chassis. The snap rivet provides for tool-less installation and removal of the PCBA from the chassis of the computing system.

CIRCUIT BOARD MODULE AND RELEASE COMPONENT
20230178935 · 2023-06-08 · ·

A circuit board module including a circuit board body, a connector, and a release component is provided. The connector is disposed on the circuit board body and includes a base body and a rotating button rotatably disposed on the base body. The release component is disposed on the circuit board body and includes a linking member. The linking member is movably disposed beside the rotating button and does not contact the rotating button under normal conditions. When an external force triggers the release component, the linking member is driven to contact the rotating button, so that the rotating button rotates relative to the base body. In addition, a release component is also mentioned.

High-Speed Performance Electrical Connector for Modular Electronics Systems

A connector gap between a module connector mating surface and the backplane connector of a chassis may be eliminated through a mechanism that forcefully pushes (or pulls) the module towards the backplane and/or forcefully pushes (or pulls) the backplane toward the module. A spring-loaded or resilient element may be used to fasten the module in a way that effectively fills any designed-in and tolerance-induced gap in the connector interface, allowing the connector to fully seat. In addition, a gasket or other compressible member may be included at the connector mating interface. The gap in the connector interface may be reduced by introducing adjustable card cage members that are capable of being set during the assembly or manufacturing process using special alignment fixtures. The gap in the connector interface may also be reduced by introducing a higher tolerance capable manufacturing process, such as machining, to the card cage sub-assembly.
