ISOLATING INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM RACKS FROM SHOCK AND VIBRATION IN A MODULAR DATA CENTER
A modular data center includes a container for housing at least one rack containing an information handling system. A frame is disposed within the container. The frame has several upper cross-members and several lower cross-members. A floor is coupled to the lower cross-members and the at least one rack is disposed on an upper surface of the floor. At least one lower bracket extends between the floor and the first rack and is affixed to the floor and a first rack to couple/secure the first rack to the floor. Several first isolators are mounted between the floor and the lower cross-members. The first isolators protect the first rack from mechanical shock and vibration.
MODULAR DATA CENTER THAT TRANSFERS WORKLOAD TO MITIGATE A DETECTED PHYSICAL THREAT
A modular data center (MDC) includes an in-band communication network connection communicatively coupled between an information technology (IT) component of the MDC and a data center external to the MDC. A sensor of a security system of the MDC detects a presence of a person in proximity to an exterior of the MDC or inside of the MDC. In response to determining that the person is detected, a controller of the MDC determines whether the detected person is authenticated. In response to determining that the detected person is not authenticated, the controller authenticates the data center via the in-band communication network connection, and the controller transfers computing workload and data from the at least one IT component to the data center via the in-band communication network connection.
MODULAR DATA CENTER
Provided is a modular datacenter having a moveable rack assembly configured to selectively provide access to rack-mounted computing devices, with access barriers selectively providing access to rack-mounted computing devices within an exposed rack or portion of a rack or device mounted thereon, safety interlocks controlling when the rack assembly moves, and space-efficient thermal management systems.
Lightweight and low-cost EMP protection rack
A lightweight and low-cost electromagnetic pulse (EMP) protection rack includes a front door, a rear door disposed to face the front door, a left outer wall disposed between the front door and the rear door, a right outer wall disposed to face the left outer wall, a top outer wall positioned on top parts of the front door, the rear door, the left outer wall, and the right outer wall, a bottom outer wall disposed to face the top outer wall, and a main frame disposed to connect, into a single unit, the front door, the rear door, the left outer wall, the right outer wall, the top outer wall and the bottom outer wall, wherein at least one of the front door and the rear door is implemented as a roller blind having a shielding member.
Seismic braces for use with computer racks
An apparatus for bracing a face of a computer rack includes a brace mountable by hinges to one side of the face of the computer rack. A latch is mountable to the other side of the face of the computer rack. When the brace is closed against the face of the rack, the latch may be closed to capture elements of the brace and thereby provide rigidity to the face of the computer rack.
PLASTIC TOTE
An apparatus may include a plastic frame; a plurality of mounting features coupled to the plastic frame such that the plastic frame is configured to maintain the plurality of mounting features in a desired orientation, wherein the plurality of mounting features, when in the desired orientation, are operable to receive and retain information handling systems; and a base coupled to the plastic frame and disposed below the plastic frame along a central vertical axis of the apparatus that is defined by the orientation of the plurality of mounting features.
Server
The disclosure provides a server including casing, detecting device and cover plate. The casing includes bottom plate, first side plate and second side plate. The first side plate or the second side plate includes an engaging slot. The engaging slot includes fixing part and releasing part that are connected to each other. The edge of first side plate includes hole. The detecting device include switch and controller. The cover plate includes cover portion, first side wall, second side wall, engaging component and protrusion. The cover plate includes fixed position and removable position. When cover plate is located in fixed position, engaging component is located in fixing part, such that cover plate is fixed on casing and protrusion penetrates through hole to push switch. When cover plate is located in removable position, engaging component is located in releasing part, and protrusion is moved away from switch.
Integration cell for seismic electronic equipment rack and method of transporting electronic equipment units thereby
Described herein is an integration cell that can be pre-installed with plural electronic equipment units at a location remote from a datacenter. One or more pre-installed integration cells can be shipped on a single standard shipping palette to the datacenter location and moved into the datacenter through standard doorways and using standard elevators. Inside the datacenter, the integration cell can be inserted into a seismic electronic equipment storage rack to allow for bulk installation or removal of plural electronic equipment units.
System, device, and method of reinforcement for raised-floors and for equipment thereon
System, device, and method of reinforcement for raised-floors and for equipment thereon. A system includes a vertical support member to fixedly connect to a top-tier of a raised-floor and to a bottom-tier of the raised floor. The vertical support member includes an internal rod surrounded by an external pipe. The internal rod and the external pipe are connected via a top-side cap and a bottom-side cap. A modular-length slanted support member is further connected to the vertical support member. The slanted support member is fixedly connected to the bottom-tier of the raised floor, or to another, neighboring, vertical support member.
