A DUT side of the plate may have pads configured to interface with a device under testing. Both sides of the plate may comprise traces, vias, and pads to fan out the DUT pad pattern so that the plate side opposite the DUT side has spatially translated pads configured to interface with the pads on a testing PCB. Fabricating a redistribution plate may comprise calibrating and aligning, laser milling vias, laser milling trenches and pads, copper plating, grinding and polishing, removing residual copper, and coating the copper surfaces.

The layers may include signal layers, prepreg substrate layers disposed between the signal layers, ground plane layers, wherein each of the ground plane layers abuts one of the prepreg substrate layers, inner signal layers, wherein each of the inner signal layers abuts one of the prepreg substrate layers, and a core substrate layer disposed between the signal layers, wherein two of the inner signal layers abut opposed sides of the core substrate layer. The VIAs extend through at least some of the layers, wherein each of the VIAs is formed by aligned apertures through adjoining ones of the prepreg substrate layers, ground plane layers, and inner signal layers. The VIA bridge is coupled to the VIAs to convey heat to a heat sink.

There is provided an apparatus comprising: a base substrate and a component substrate having at least two electronic components arranged thereon. At least one aperture is formed through an entire thickness of the component substrate. The at least one aperture is formed in an interspace between the at least two electronic components. The component substrate is coupled to the base substrate using a solder joint. Each of the at least two electronic components may comprise a light emitting diode element.
