A vacuum cleaner bag assembly is adapted to be removably disposed within a tank of a vacuum cleaner, and the bag assembly includes a panel assembly made from a first material and forming an enclosure having an interior volume, and an aperture extends through the panel assembly. A shield member may be disposed within the interior volume and secured to one or more portions of the panel assembly, and the shield member may comprise a second material that is different than the first material. The shield member is adapted to protect a portion of the panel assembly when the vacuum cleaner bag assembly is disposed within the tank.

The present invention relates to methods for the production of an improved integral connection of a retaining plate to the wall of a vacuum cleaner filter bag. According to a first variant, the retaining plate is not applied directly on the wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag but rather a textile material is disposed between retaining plate and the wall. The connection of the retaining plate and the wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag is thereby effected via the textile material. According to a second variant, in regions between retaining plate and wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag, a film made of a thermoplastic material is disposed between wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag and retaining plate. The connection of the retaining plate and the wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag is thereby effected via the film. According to a third variant, the retaining plate is connected directly to the wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag. The wall is thereby formed, at least in the region in which the retaining plate is applied, as film made of special thermoplastic materials. The present invention relates likewise to vacuum cleaner filter bags in which the retaining plate is connected integrally to the wall of the vacuum cleaner filter bag according to the preceding principles.

Upright vacuum cleaners that include a switch that detects whether a removable filter assembly has been connected to the vacuum cleaner are disclosed. In some embodiments, the upright vacuum cleaner includes a capacitor for protecting the switch from voltage transients.

A leaf blower vacuum cart for mounting, transporting and utilizing an electric leaf vacuum blower and a standard 121635 paper yard waste bag or similar. The invention is a two tiered cart with casters, a bottom shelf and a top shelf. The top shelf has an opening to accommodate a hopper which goes into a standard 121635 paper yard waste bag or similar. The cart can be used with leaf blower vacuums of various makes. A hose is attached to the leaf blower vacuum allowing for extended reach of leaves. A second hose is connected to the exhaust of the leaf blower vacuum and to the hopper. The invention maximizes filling of standard 121635 paper yard waste bags or similar. Full bags are moved on the cart to the desired location.

An evacuation station includes a base and a canister removably attached to the base. The base includes a ramp having an inclined surface for receiving a robotic cleaner having a debris bin. The ramp defines an evacuation intake opening arranged to pneumatically interface with the debris bin. The base also includes a first conduit portion pneumatically connected to the evacuation intake opening, an air mover having an inlet and an exhaust, and a particle filter pneumatically the exhaust of the air mover. The canister includes a second conduit portion arranged to pneumatically interface with the first conduit portion to form a pneumatic debris intake conduit, an exhaust conduit arranged to pneumatically connect to the inlet of the air mover when the canister is attached to the base, and a separator in pneumatic communication with the second conduit portion.

A vacuum cleaner is used with a detachable built-in filter bag, and includes a shell, a mounting piece, an intake tube, a cover plate, a bag holder, a blocking member, a prop member, a biasing spring, and a vacuum air stream generating member. The cover plate is configured to be brought into mating engagement with the shell so as to enclose a chamber in the shell. When no filter bag is installed inside a chamber of the shell, the cover plate is prevented from being brought into mating engagement with the shell. Once the cover plate is brought into mating engagement with the shell, the prop member is brought into pressing engagement with the blocking member to lift the blocking member.

A debris collection system to be attached to a leaf blower apparatus to assist in the collection of lawn debris like leaves, sticks, acorns, fruit, trash, etc. The debris collection system includes a bagging assembly with a flexible bag that collects the debris. The bagging assembly also includes a handle mechanism to allow for the emptying of the flexible bag into a trash bin. The system also includes attachment mechanisms that allow the debris collection system to be easily attached and detached from the leaf blower.
