A portable surface cleaning apparatus for a floor surface includes a main housing assembly adapted to be hand carried by a user, the main housing assembly carrying a fluid delivery system adapted for storing cleaning fluid and delivering the cleaning fluid to the surface to be cleaned, and a fluid recovery system adapted for removing the cleaning fluid and debris from the surface to be cleaned and storing the cleaning fluid and debris that was recovered, the main housing assembly comprising a base housing, a supply tank received on the main housing assembly, a recovery tank received on the main housing assembly separately from the supply tank.

A water separator is positioned in the air flow path, which, when in operation, separates the water from the air. When the automatic closure member is in the open position, the water storage chamber is in fluid flow communication with the water separator; when in the closed position, the water storage chamber is isolated from the water separator. A floor cleaning machine for cleaning a floor surface includes a recovery tank having an inlet conduit and a flow divider. The flow divider includes a divider inlet in downstream fluid communication with the inlet conduit. The flow divider divides the flow into at least two separate flow paths. Each separate flow path includes a first flow path portion for directing the flow in a first direction away from the divider inlet, a second flow path portion directing the flow in a second flow direction that is substantially different from the first flow direction, and a flow redirector portion for redirecting the flow from the first flow direction to the second flow direction. This application provides a method for controlling a robot cleaner, a robot cleaner, and a storage medium. The method for controlling the robot cleaner includes the steps of: acquiring a weight of the water tank, comparing the weight of the water tank with a setting value to acquire a comparison result, determining a remaining usable time of the robot cleaner according to the comparison result, and controlling the robot cleaner according to the remaining usable time. Since the weight of the water tank is not easily interfered by other factors, the acquiring of weight has a high accuracy, thereby the remaining usable time determined according to the weight of the water tank has a high accuracy, and then the robot cleaner is controlled according to the remaining usable time with higher accuracy. The control accuracy of the robot cleaner thus can be improved.
