FUSE ELEMENT, FUSE DEVICE, AND HEAT-GENERATOR-INTEGRATED FUSE DEVICE
20170236673 · 2017-08-17 · ·

A fuse device and a fuse element having excellent rapid blowout properties and excellent insulation properties after blowout even in a size-reduced fuse device are provided. A fuse element constitutes a current path of a fuse device and blows out due to self-generated heat when a rating-exceeding current flows, a length W in a width direction perpendicular to a conduction direction being greater than a total length L in the conduction direction in the fuse element. In particular, the fuse element includes a low melting point metal layer and a high melting point metal layer, the low melting point metal layer eroding the high melting point metal layer when current flows to cause blowout.

Fuse Component and Electric Motor Incorporating the Same

A fuse component configured to provide overcurrent protection for an electric motor comprises a spiral fuse portion and a magnetic core. The spiral fuse portion encloses at least a part of the magnetic core, so that the fuse component is also configured to function as a choke of the electric motor.

SURGE PROTECTION DEVICE WITH AN INDEPENDENT CHAMBER COMPRISING A FUSE FOR OVERCURRENT PROTECTION
20170222426 · 2017-08-03 ·

A surge protective device with an independent chamber comprising a fuse for overcurrent protection is disclosed. It comprises a first chamber for receiving a voltage sensitive element with a thermal protection switch, and a second chamber independent from the first chamber and provided in the external of the first chamber. The second chamber contains a fuse for power frequency overcurrent protection in series connection with the voltage sensitive element. The surge protection device comprises an independent chamber for power frequency overcurrent protection at outside of the thermal protection device, so as to avoid interference with the components around the fuse. In addition, when the MOV is unexpectedly punctured and got short circuit, the device of the present invention still operates to protect the surge protective surge.

Fuse component and electric motor incorporating the same

A fuse component (36) configured to provide overcurrent protection for an electric motor (20) comprises a spiral (41) of a plurality of coaxial wire loops (44) and an outer insulating sleeve (39) surrounding at least a portion of the spiral (41). The overcurrent threshold of the fuse component (36) may be adjusted by changing the number of loops in the spiral (41) or the cross-section area of the wire in the spiral (41). The fuse component (41) may also function as an inductor (35) and/or connected to a speed adjustable resistor.
