An appliance includes a steam application device having a main body which includes an inlet section to receive steam, an applicator to apply the steam to a surface, and a swivel assembly to swivel the applicator and the main body relative to each other. The appliance further includes a portable steamer to (i) attach to the steam application device and (ii) detach from the steam application device (e.g., in a simple lift away manner). The portable steamer has a steam generator which generates the steam, and an outlet section which connects to the inlet section of the main body of the steam application device when the portable steamer is attached to the steam application device. The outlet section provides the steam from the steam generator to the inlet section of the main body of the steam application device when the portable steamer is attached to the steam application device.

A steam cleaning apparatus includes a cleaning head, a handle operably coupled with the cleaning head, a supply tank, a steam generator in fluid communication with the supply tank, and a steam outlet in fluid communication with the steam generator. A diverter is provided in a steam distribution path between the steam generator and the steam outlet and is configured to selectively divert steam away from the steam outlet.

Embodiments of the invention disclosed herein include steam appliances and methods which apply steam and a liquid containing a cleaning agent to the floor via separate outlets. In some embodiments, the liquid containing a cleaning agent is applied to an area of the floor that is physically separated from a steam application area. The steam may be applied to the floor through a steam-permeable fabric. The liquid containing a cleaning agent may be heated before being applied to the floor or being mixed with steam.

A surface cleaning apparatus, and in particular a steam mop, comprises a steam generator and a steam outlet fluidly connected to the steam generator to deliver steam to a floor surface. Steam from the steam generator can be applied to a cleaning composition applied to a stain on the floor surface. The cleaning composition can be applied directly to the floor surface, or indirectly via a cleaning pad.

A nozzle of a cleaner includes a nozzle body, a rotation cleaning part having a rotation plate to which a rag is attached, a driving device provided in the nozzle body, a water tank, a water supply passage, and a water adjuster of which at least a portion is mounted on the nozzle body at a rear side thereof so as to be exposed to a rear surface or a top surface of the nozzle body. A user standing on the same floor surface as the nozzle body may manipulate the water adjuster by using his or her foot. The water adjuster may be configured to adjust an on/off operation and a rotation speed (e.g., rpm) of the pump motor.

A surface cleaning apparatus, such as a fluid delivery or steam mop, comprises a handle assembly comprising a steam distributor and a foot assembly pivotally attached to the handle assembly and comprising a base housing. The foot assembly can be used in two positions, whereby opposing sides of a cleaning pad on the base housing can selectively engage a surface to be cleaned. The foot assembly is further swivelable relative to the steam distributor, such that fluid can be delivered to the surface to be cleaned in both of the two use positions.

A steam distribution manifold is provided within an interior of the brush assembly and fluidly coupled with the steam generator to distribute steam through the brush assembly.

A surface cleaning apparatus, such as a steam mop, includes a steam delivery system having a steam delivery pathway. A fragrance dispenser for receiving a fragrant material is provided on the apparatus, and a portion of the steam delivery pathway is in heat exchange relationship with the fragrance dispenser to heat the fragrant material in the fragrance dispenser by heat transfer from the steam in the pathway. Fragrance is dispensed from apparatus via heat transfer utilizing the steam pathway as a thermal radiation source.

The present disclosure provides a surface cleaning apparatus that includes a fluid delivery system for mopping a floor surface after sweeping debris from the floor surface. The surface cleaning apparatus can have a brushroll, a collection bin that receives dirt and liquid swept by the brushroll, and a cleanout member configured to empty the collection bin and mechanically remove dirt and liquid accumulated on one or more internal surfaces of the base.

The invention relates to a device for cleaning planar surfaces such as floors, walls, ceilings, countertops, glasses, in particular for floors cleaning, comprising a mop and an external base station, wherein the external base station comprises a reservoir of cleaning fluid and it supplies said cleaning fluid to said mop, when the mop is in contact with a section of the base station. In a preferred embodiment the cleaning fluid is water and the device comprises a heating element is adapted to vaporize the cleaning fluid which is released through the one or more nozzles in the form of steam.
