FLOW CONTROLLER FOR DISHWASHER
A flow controller for controlling water flow from a pump pumping water from a sump of a dishwasher to a water conduit system of the dishwasher. The flow controller comprises a plate with openings. The openings form water outlets to the water conduit system. The flow controller also comprises a disc rotatably arranged in relation to the plate. The disc comprises openings arranged for allowing closing and opening of the water outlets in the plate during rotation of the disc. The flow controller comprises a cavity formed between the disc and the plate configured to allow water to flow back from the water conduit system via a water outlet in the plate being closed by the disc and via the cavity to a drain outlet in the plate. Hereby water can return from a closed water outlet in the plate via the drain outlet in the disc to the sump.
DISHWASHER WITH MULTI-LEVEL DISHWASHER RACK
A dishwasher may utilize a multi-level dishwasher rack that in some instances may be reconfigurable into different configurations to optimize the rack for different types and/or combinations of utensils. A movable divider may be used in some instances to selectively expose a deep portion of a rack, and a drawer may be used in some instances to provide access utensils stored underneath a divider. A movable portion of a bottom of a rack may also be used in some instances to provide different support surfaces in the rack at different elevations. A tubular spray element or another rotatable spray tube may also be positioned relative to a multi-level dishwasher rack in some instances to facilitate concentrated washing of different facing surfaces of different utensils stored in the rack.
Dishwashing appliance having a variable spray assembly to alternate the spray of wash fluid
A dishwashing appliance or variable spray assembly, as provided herein, may include a manifold body, a diverter valve, and a driver. The manifold body may define a fluid inlet, a first flow path, a second flow path, a first spray outlet, and a second spray outlet. The first and second flow paths may be downstream from the fluid inlet. The second flow path may be in fluid parallel to the first flow path. The second spray outlet may be spaced apart from the first spray outlet. The diverter valve may be mounted within manifold body and movable between a first zone position directing wash fluid to the first flow path and a second zone position directing wash fluid to the second flow path. The driver may be disposed outside of the manifold body to motivate the diverter valve between the first zone position and the second zone position.
Dishwasher
A dishwasher includes a case, injection arms, a sump including an injection flow path coupling portion, a washing pump for supplying washing water stored in the sump to the injection arms, and a switching valve including a flow path distributor for distributing washing water to injection arms. The flow path distributor defines distribution holes. When the flow path distributor is in a reference position, the distribution holes are positioned so that all of the injection arm supply holes are opened, and, when the flow path distributor is rotated by a first angle from a reference position, the distribution holes are positioned so that any one of the injection arm supply holes is opened. The injection flow path coupling portion includes a plurality of support ribs protruded toward the flow path distributor and including a support rib corresponding to at least one of the distribution holes.
DISHWASHER APPLIANCE MAIN CONDUIT WITH PRESSURE RELIEF HOLE
A dishwasher appliance includes a tub that defines a wash chamber for receipt of articles for washing. The dishwasher appliance also includes a lower spray assembly located in the wash chamber and configured to direct a spray of fluid into the wash chamber. The dishwasher appliance further includes an upper spray assembly located in the wash chamber above the lower spray assembly along the vertical direction. The upper spray assembly is configured to direct a spray of fluid into the wash chamber. A sump is positioned at a bottom of the wash chamber for receiving fluid from the wash chamber. The dishwasher appliance further includes a pump in fluid communication with the sump. The pump is configured to draw fluid from the sump. A main conduit extends between the pump and the upper spray assembly. The main conduit includes an upper end and a hole defined in the upper end.
DISHWASHER INCLUDING TUBULAR SPRAY ELEMENT WITH INTERMEDIATE SUPPORT AND/OR FLUID INLET
A tubular spray element for a dishwasher is rotatably supported and/or supplied with fluid at an intermediate location along the length of the tubular spray element, such that least one aperture that directs fluid into a wash tub is disposed on each side of the intermediate location. In addition, a tubular spray element drive may be positioned externally from the wash tub and mechanically coupled to the tubular spray element through a shaft seal such that the fluid supply to the tubular spray element can be entirely within the wash tub.
Dishwasher and driving method therefor
A dishwasher includes a dishwashing tub in which dishes are washed; a first tank configured to store therein cold washing water to be used for a next stroke; and a second tank configured to store therein hot washing water, which has been used in the dishwashing tub. The second tank is placed adjacently to the first tank to transfer heat from the stored hot washing water to the cold washing water. An opening is configured to deliver the hot washing water to the dishwashing tub; and a circulation pipe is configured to connect the dishwashing tub and the second tank to enable the hot washing water to circulate between the second tank and the dishwashing tub. A circulation valve is configured to allow the hot washing water to pass therethrough or to block the hot washing water from passing therethrough.
Clog resistant appliance diverter valve
A diverter valve for an appliance having water containing filamentous materials such as hair or string provides a low turbulence conduit (48) interconnecting an inlet (18) and multiple outlets (22a) reducing dead space and opportunities for filamentous materials to catch or collect. The conduit may be contained in a rotating spool (40) within a watertight housing (34) allowing simplified gasketing augmented by an ability to turn on and off waterflow separately, for example, with the valve or pump.
Dishwasher
A dishwasher includes a main body, a tub provided in the inside of the main body, a basket provided in the inside of the tub to store dishes, an injection unit configured to spray wash water to wash dishes in the basket, and a circulation pump configured to circulate wash water, a sump arranged on a lower surface of the tub, and a connector provided to connect the circulation pump to the injection unit and having a tubular shape. The sump includes a coupling portion extending upward from the lower surface of the tub, and the connector and the injection unit are connected to each other in the inside of the tub by being coupled to the coupling portion.
Water-bearing domestic appliance
A water-conducting household appliance includes a moving component, an electric motor for moving the component, a load apparatus configured to apply a resistance to counter movement of the component as a function of a position of the moving component, and a control apparatus for actuating the electric motor. The control apparatus is configured to detect a drive current drawn which is drawn by the electric motor and is a function of the resistance applied by the load apparatus and to ascertain the position of the moving component as a function of the detected drive current.
