Dishwasher and method of controlling the same
A dishwasher and a control method thereof are disclosed. The dishwasher includes a tub accommodating an object to be washed, a spray arm rotatably provided inside the tub to spray wash water toward the object to be washed, a sump for storing wash water and collecting wash water sprayed into the tub therein, a filter separably mounted to the sump to remove foreign substances from wash water, a wash pump for supplying wash water stored in the sump to the spray arm, and a circulation passage for diverting at least a portion of the wash water supplied to the spray arm by the wash pump to the sump. After the dishes are washed, all of the wash water introduced into the wash pump is diverted into the filter. Foreign substances present in the wash water are collected in the filter and are discharged outside along with the wash water.
Dishwasher with a sprayer
A dish treating appliance for treating dishes according to an automatic cycle of operation can include a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber with an access opening. A sump is fluidly coupled to the tub. A liquid recirculation circuit fluidly couples the sump to the treating chamber. The liquid recirculation circuit includes a sprayer having an elongated body defining a longitudinal body axis, with an internal fluid passage and a set of spray openings extending through the body to the internal fluid passage. A deflecting assembly has a carrier and a plurality of deflectors coupled to the carrier, with at least some of the deflectors associated with a corresponding spray opening in the set of spray openings.
System and method for performing a fill cycle in a dishwasher appliance
A dishwasher appliance includes a sump that defines a transition fill level where the cross sectional area of the sump increases. A pressure sensor is operably coupled to the sump for monitoring sump pressure and wash fluid level. A controller opens a water supply valve to provide a flow of water into the sump and monitors the sump pressure using the pressure sensor. The controller determines when the water has reached the transition fill level corresponding to a known transition fill volume. The controller determines a fill flow rate based on the amount of time needed to reach the transition fill volume and uses the fill flow rate to determine a remaining fill time needed to reach a target volume.
Dish washer
A dish washer including: a main body; a tub; a basket configured to receive dishes; a first sprayer and a second sprayer configured to spray water toward the basket; a circulating pump configured to circulate water; and an alternating device configured to provide water from the circulating pump to at least one of the first sprayer or the second sprayer, wherein the alternating device includes a housing including a communicating portion to receive water, and a distributor rotatably positioned inside the housing and formed in the shape of a cylinder, and the distributor includes an inlet portion corresponding to the communicating portion, and at least one distributing hole formed in an outer circumference of the distributor, providing water to at least the one sprayer or the second sprayer, and a guide positioned inside of the distributor including a curved surface for guiding water to the at least one distributing hole.
DISHWASHER WITH DIRECT WATER SUPPLY
A dishwasher and method for treating dishes according to a cycle of operation, wherein the dishwasher can include a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber, a dish rack movably received within the treating chamber and a spray system fluidly connected to the water supply. The dish rack is configured for receiving dishes or utensils for treatment during the cycle of operation. The spray system can include a set of sprayers located within the treating chamber that are configured to selectively emit spray from the water supply onto dishes or utensils on the dish rack.
Diverter assembly for a dishwasher appliance and a method of operating the same
A dishwasher appliance includes a sump that collects wash fluid and a circulation pump for urging the wash fluid through a supply conduit to a plurality of spray arms. A diverter assembly is operably coupled to the supply conduit for selectively diverting the flow of wash fluid to the plurality of spray arms and a rotation detection system monitors rotation of the spray arms. A controller detects rotation of the plurality of spray arms and determines a position of the diverter assembly based on the rotation.
Dishwasher and method for operating a dishwasher
A dishwasher includes a dishwashing container, a lower holder for items to be washed arranged in the dishwashing container, and an upper holder for items to be washed which is arranged in the dishwasher container above the lower holder. A control device executes a dishwashing program from a number of dishwashing programs for washing the items to be washed by actuating a hydraulic facility in such a manner that in a first segment of the dishwashing program a washing liquor having a first washing liquor temperature is only sprayed by a lower spray facility onto the lower holder and in a second segment of the dishwashing program following the first segment washing liquor having a second washing liquor temperature that is lower than the first washing liquor temperature is sprayed by an upper spray facility onto the lower holder and the upper holder.
Dishwasher with spray system assembly
A spray system assembly for a household appliance, such as a dishwasher, wherein the spray system assembly can include a diverter housing with a diverter valve, a sprayer mount, and a rotatable sprayer. The rotatable sprayer can include a hub, a spray head, and a pair of spaced spacers. The sprayer mount can include a collar for receiving the hub of the rotatable sprayer. The pair of spaced spacers can circumscribe the hub.
Apparatus for separating chemistries in a door-type dishmachine
The present disclosure relates to a dishmachine that includes at least two tanks and methods of using the tanks to isolate, substantially isolate, or incrementally isolate different chemistries from each other during a cycle. The disclosed dishmachine design and method allows for the use of two different, and potentially incompatible, reactive, or offsetting chemistries to be used in the same dishmachine cycle.
SPACE EFFICIENT FLOW CONTROLLER FOR DISHWASHER
A flow controller for controlling water flow from a pump pumping water from a sump of a dish washer to a water conduit system of the dishwasher is provided. The flow controller comprises a plate with openings forming water outlets to the water conduit system, and a disc rotatably arranged in relation to the plate. The disc comprises openings arranged for allowing closing and opening of the water outlets in the plate during rotation of the disc. The disc comprises at least two annulus shaped portions. The at least two annulus shaped portions are located radially displaced, and the openings are formed in the at least two annulus shaped portions.
