Dishwasher comprising a sealing apparatus
A sealing apparatus seals between a pump chamber and a bottom surface of a washing tank of a dishwasher. The sealing apparatus includes a packing member disposed along a top portion of the pump chamber and a protecting member which fixes some portion of the packing member to the pump chamber to prevent the packing member from moving when the bottom surface of the washing tank and the pump chamber are coupled to each other.

A foam panel for use in a dish treating appliance having a door. The foam panel comprises areas of differing densities. The foam panel comprises uncompressed and compressed areas to form at least some of the areas of differing densities. The frame is connected to an outer surface of the inner container and extends along an edge of the opening of the accommodation cavity. A sealing groove is defined in the frame. Alternatively, the sealing groove is defined by enclosing the frame and the edge of the opening of the inner container. A sealing strip is disposed in the sealing groove. A door body is configured to open or close the opening of the accommodation cavity. The door body abuts against the sealing strip in response to the opening of the accommodation cavity being covered by the door body.

A dishwasher, in particular a free-standing dishwasher or a high-level built-in dishwasher, includes an appliance door and a bottom-side plinth cover which is aligned essentially flush with a front face of the appliance door. The plinth cover has a top wall which faces a lower edge of the appliance door and is spaced from the lower edge of the appliance door to allow for an opening movement of the appliance door across a free movement gap. At least one lighting element is provided to allow illumination of the movement gap between the lower edge of the appliance door and the top wall of the plinth cover.

A dishwasher may include a closure element, such as a door, a user interface on the closure element, and a controller. A data communication link having a first data connector may be coupled to the controller, and a second data connector may be coupled to the user interface. The first and second data connectors may communicatively couple when the closure element is in the closed condition to establish data communication between the controller and the user interface. The communication link may also form a power link to provide power to the user interface across an electrical link.

A dishwasher for treating dishes according to an automatic cycle of operation can comprise a tub defining a treating chamber with an access opening. A door can be selectively moveable to a closed position to close the access opening and can have a metal inner panel with a rear face confronting the treating chamber when the door is in the closed position. The door can have a lower edge overlying a portion of the tub when the door is in the closed position. A ventilating strip can be provided along the lower edge and can have vent openings passing through the strip. A seal can extend between the tub and the ventilating strip when the door is closed to form a liquid seal between the ventilating strip and the tub.
