ENDOSCOPE WITH SYNTHETIC APERTURE MULTISPECTRAL CAMERA ARRAY

A method which may effectively provide an endoscope or other surgical instrument with a synthetic multi-camera array may comprise capturing using one or more cameras located at a distal tip of the surgical instrument, a set of images comprising first and second images. For each image in such set of images, that image may be captured by a corresponding camera from the one or more cameras, may be captured when the distal dip of the instrument is located at a corresponding point in space. Such a method may also comprise generating a three dimensional image based on compositing representations of a structure in the first and second image after applying a non-rigid transformation to one or more of those representations.

Medical software tools platform utilizes a surgical display to provide access to specific medical software tools, such as medically-oriented applications or widgets, that can assist those in the operating room, such as a surgeon or surgical team, with a surgery. For various embodiments, the medical software tools platform and its associated medical software tools are presented on a surgical display (e.g., being utilized in an operating room) over an image stream provided by a surgical camera (e.g., in use in the operating room or with other endoscopic procedures). Various medical software tools can provide features and functions that can facilitate integration of equipment in an operating room or add medical context awareness to anatomic structures presented in the image stream from the surgical camera and provide archived information pertaining to the same.

Apparatuses and methods for registering a real-time image feed from an imaging device to a steerable catheter

A method of registering a real-time image feed from an imaging device inserted into a steerable catheter using a navigation system is provided. The method includes inserting the imaging device into a working channel of the steerable catheter and generating a real-time image feed of one or more reference points, wherein the orientation of the reference points is known. The method further includes orienting a handle of the steerable catheter to a neutral position, displaying the real-time image feed on a display of the navigation system, and registering the real-time image feed to the steerable catheter by rotating the displayed image so that the reference points in the real-time image feed are matched to the known orientation of the reference points.

A method comprises obtaining an endoscopic image dataset of a patient anatomy from an endoscopic imaging system and retrieving an anatomic model dataset of the patient anatomy obtained by an anatomic imaging system. The method also comprises mapping the endoscopic image dataset to the anatomic model dataset and displaying a first vantage point image using the mapped endoscopic image dataset. The first vantage point image is presented from a first vantage point at a distal end of the endoscopic imaging system. The method also comprises displaying a second vantage point image using at least a portion of the mapped endoscopic image dataset. The second vantage point image is presented from a second vantage point, different from the first vantage point.

MULTIFUNCTIONAL VISUALIZATION INSTRUMENT WITH ORIENTATION CONTROL

A multifunctional laryngoscope is provided that includes a handle comprising a proximal end and a distal end and a display screen on the handle. The laryngoscope includes a laryngoscope camera at the distal end of the handle and an introducer comprising an orientation sensor at a distal end of the introducer. The laryngoscope includes a processor programmed to execute instructions for receiving from a steering input a steering command in a first reference frame, and mapping the steering command to a second reference frame oriented to the distal end of the introducer based on an orientation signal from the orientation sensor.

Diagnosis support apparatus, diagnosis support method and computer-readable non-transitory storage medium for storing program

A diagnosis support apparatus performs identification for a plurality of support items, which are identification classifications about diagnosis support, and the diagnosis support apparatus is provided with a processor. The processor performs analysis processing for acquiring analysis results including an analysis result about an observation mode by analyzing at least one of an input signal specifying the observation mode and an observation image obtained by observing an inside of a subject with an endoscope; performs support item setting processing for setting a support item corresponding to the analysis results obtained by the analysis processing, among the plurality of support items, which are the identification classifications; and generates diagnosis support information, which is information used for diagnosis of a legion candidate area included in the observation image, based on an identification index corresponding to the set support item and the observation image.

Image Processing Device, Image Processing Method, Image Processing Program, Endoscope Device, and Endoscope Image Processing System

An image processing device acquires an image obtained by irradiating an area of a living body with light having a wavelength of 955 [nm] to 2025 [nm]. The image processing device inputs the acquired image to a learned model or a statistical model generated in advance for detecting, from the image, a tumor present in the area, and determines whether or not a tumor is present at each point in the image.
