Systems and methods for de-smoking images of a surgical scene are described. Methods include receiving a video of a surgical scene including an image frame. Methods include determining that the image frame includes a smoke occlusion. Methods include determining an estimated un-occluded color of one or more pixels of the image frame using a lookup table, the lookup table mapping between a color space and a set of color bins including the estimated un-occluded color. Methods include determining a respective estimated true color for the one or more pixels of the subset using the imaged color, the estimated un-occluded color, and the smoke color. Methods also include generating a de-smoked image frame using the respective estimated true colors of the one or more pixels, the de-smoked image exhibiting a reduction of the smoke occlusion relative to the image frame.

Compact monitor stand

The present specification provides an apparatus for supporting one or more monitors. The apparatus includes a base stand having one or more wheels for enabling movement of the apparatus; a first rigid frame having a top end and a bottom end attached with the base stand; a second extendable frame having a top end and a bottom end and telescopically movable within the first rigid frame; a monitor arm assembly removably coupled with the top end of the second frame and configured to receive a plurality of monitors. The apparatus is transformable from a first collapsed configuration for transport and storage into a second operational configuration by rotating or removing the monitor arm assembly and by moving the second extendable frame relative to the first rigid frame.

DRIVE DEVICE

A drive device includes a filter section that includes an optical filter, a transmission section that rotates around a rotation shaft, a first groove portion that is formed to the transmission section, a protruding portion that is formed to the filter section, in contact with the first groove portion, and that moves the filter section from a first position to a second position by moving along the first groove portion in coordination with rotation of the transmission section, and a second groove portion that is formed continuously with the first groove portion, and that is provided along a tangent line direction passing through the protruding portion that is on a circle having the rotation shaft of the transmission section at a center and a radius that is a distance between the rotation shaft and the protruding portion, when the optical filter section is moved to the second position.

The present disclosure relates to visualizing an operative field in the context of a dental operating theater, and more specifically, to a portable, modular, multifunctional intraoral imaging system to assist a practitioner in performing a medical or dental procedure in a confined space (e.g., intraoral cavity or mouth of a patient). The system may include an intraoral camera apparatus having a camera unit equipped with a wireless transmitter, and a viewscreen mounted to an articulated stand or dental delivery unit, wherein the camera wirelessly may transmit an image to a viewscreen located directly in front of a dental practitioner. The practitioner may look directly ahead at a high-definition screen to view the operative field. A dental practitioner may use the apparatus to perform micro-surgical procedures in a confined operative area with less-than-ideal visibility and access, without the present, though generally accepted, physical difficulties and limitations.
