ENDOSCOPY SERVICE SUPPORT DEVICE, ENDOSCOPY SERVICE SUPPORT SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF OPERATING ENDOSCOPY SERVICE SUPPORT DEVICE
An image reception unit receives a still image acquired by an endoscope system. The still image combination unit performs still image collation processing for collating an internal still image and an external still image out of the still images, combines the internal still image with the external still image on the basis of at least a result of the still image collation processing, and displays the combined internal still image and external still image on a service support display.
COMBINED ULTRASOUND AND ENDOSCOPY
A combined ultrasonic and endoscopy system includes a cannula with a distal tip configured for insertion into an internal organ or other internal body structure. The distal tip is configured to include both an ultrasound probe head and a camera module. The ultrasonic and direct vision endoscopy images can be simultaneously displayed to a user on a display monitor. The ultrasound probe head can be rotated and steered to scan any location in the human organ cavity. The ultrasound probe can be re-usable or single use. The endoscopy system can be configured with a handheld portion that includes a re-usable handle portion and a single use portion that is configured to be disposed of following a single use. The system can also be configured using a conventional re-usable endoscope with working channels and an endoscopy processing tower system.
Endoscope system, processor device, and method of operating endoscope system for discriminating a region of an observation target
An endoscope system includes a light source unit, an image sensor, an image acquisition unit, a first image generation unit, a second image generation unit, and a region discrimination unit. The light source unit emits a plurality of types of illumination light beams with different wavelengths. The image acquisition unit acquires images corresponding to the respective illumination light beams. The first image generation unit generates a first image (white light image) serving as a base of a display image. The second image generation unit generates a second image (bright/dark region discrimination image or the like), using at least one image having a different corresponding wavelength from that of the image used for the generation of the first image. The region discrimination unit discriminates the regions in the observation target, using the second image.
Medical system and operation method therefor
A medical system includes: an endoscope and at least one treatment tool; a treatment-tool coordinate calculating unit that extracts the treatment tool by processing two or more images acquired at different times by the endoscope, that determines directions of longitudinal axes of the extracted treatment tool, and that calculates a coordinate of an intersection of the determined two or more longitudinal axes; and a judgment unit that judges whether the treatment tool serves as a follow target, on the basis of the coordinate of the intersection calculated by the treatment-tool coordinate calculating unit.
Endoscope system and method of operating the same
An image processing unit includes a shake amount calculation section and a static image-storage control section, and the shake amount calculation section includes a shake amount-calculation processing section and an algorithm switching section. The algorithm switching section applies an algorithm varying for each image, and selects images of which the shake amounts calculated by the shake amount-calculation processing section are small. A first image and a second image, which are selected as the images of which the shake amounts are small, are stored in a static image-storage unit. A display control unit displays static images for storage.
Intubation apparatus
An intubation apparatus includes an inserting section that has an elongated shape and is to be inserted from a mouth of a subject toward a target site. An intubation tube is formed to extend along a longitudinal direction of the inserting section and is advanceable and retractable with respect to the inserting section. An imaging section is placed at a tip end of the inserting section and takes an in vivo image of the body of the subject. A detecting section detects a target site from the in vivo image based on a feature amount of the target site that is preset. A notifying section is disposed integrally with or separately from the intubation apparatus and notifies an operator who operates the inserting section. A notification controller controls the notifying section to notify of information relating to the target site of the subject based on a result of the detection.
Surgical system with combination of sensor-based navigation and endoscopy
A set of pre-operative images may be captured of an anatomical structure using an endoscopic camera. Each captured image is associated with a position and orientation of the camera at the moment of capture using image guided surgery (IGS) techniques. This image data and position data may be used to create a navigation map of captured images. During a surgical procedure on the anatomical structure, a real-time endoscopic view may be captured and displayed to a surgeon. The IGS navigation system may determine the position and orientation of the real-time image; and select an appropriate pre-operative image from the navigation map to display to the surgeon in addition to the real-time image.
Medical image processing apparatus and medical observation system
A medical image processing apparatus includes: image signal acquiring circuitry configured to acquire: a first image signal generated by capturing light of a first wavelength band with an image sensor; and a second image signal generated by capturing light of a second wavelength band different from the first wavelength band with the image sensor, the first image signal and the second image signal being not subjected to the demosaic processing, and the image sensor including a color filter in which filter groups having spectroscopic properties different from each other are arranged in a specific form; a first signal path including a demosaic processor configured to execute the demosaic processing to the first image signal; and a second signal path diverged from the first signal path on a path former part from the demosaic processor, in which the demosaic processing is not executed to the second image signal.
UTERINE CERVICAL IMAGE ACQUISITION APPARATUS
