Tissue retractor for minimally invasive surgery

Improved methods and devices for performing an endoscopic surgery including a system for performing minimally invasive procedures including a flexible catheter having a working space expanding system positioned at a distal portion, the working space expanding system movable from a non-expanded insertion position to an expanded position forming an expanded region to expand the working space within the body lumen. A tissue retractor having an inner member positioned within an outer member has a plurality of closed loops at a distal portion forming a petal-like structure. The loops are positioned in a collapsed position within the outer member and are movable to an expanded position when exposed from the outer member.

MEDICAL SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND RELATED METHODS

According to one aspect, a method for removing material from a body lumen is disclosed. The method may include positioning a first medical device within the body lumen; and expanding an expandable member at a distal portion of the first medical device from a retracted state to an expanded state. The expandable member may abut the body lumen in the expanded state. The method may further include providing fluid to a fluid lumen of the first medical device, wherein the fluid is deployed into the body lumen; applying an ultrasound signal to the first medical device from a second medical device; and moving the first medical device distally through the body lumen while the expandable member is in an expanded state, to remove material from the body lumen.

Devices for treatment of body lumens

A medical device may comprise a handle portion; an insertion portion having a proximal end portion at the handle portion, wherein the insertion portion includes a lumen therein and a distal end having a distal opening in communication with the lumen; and a member disposed within the lumen, the member having a distal end portion with an imaging device. The member may be configured to transition between a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the imaging device may face distally, and, in the second configuration, the imaging device may face proximally. Extending the distal end portion of the member distally past the distal opening may cause the member to transition from the first configuration to the second configuration.

An endotracheal tube includes a main tubular portion including a distal end and a proximal end opposite the distal end, the main tubular portion including a central lumen at least in part defined by a wall of the main tubular portion; a wire lumen disposed within the wall of the main tubular portion, the wire lumen defined at least in part by a sidewall portion of the wire lumen and extending from about the proximal end of the main tubular portion to about the distal end of the main tubular portion; a wire disposed in the wire lumen; and one or more cutouts extending along a portion of the wall of the main tubular portion, the cutouts comprising openings in the sidewall portion of the wire lumen, wherein the cutouts are not in fluid communication with the central lumen.

Weeping balloon devices

Catheters with weeping balloons can be used for various medical purposes. For example, in some embodiments provided herein weeping balloons are used for catheter visualization devices. In some embodiments, weeping balloons are used to deliver therapeutic agents. Weeping balloons can include openings of a selected size and shape through which a fluid gradually flows or “weeps.” The design of the openings can affect performance characteristics such as, but not limited to, fluid flow rate, tear resistance, and mitigation of counter-flow.

Methods and devices for fallopian tube diagnostics

Methods and devices for performing minimally invasive procedures useful for Fallopian tube diagnostics are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the proximal os of the Fallopian tube is accessed via an intrauterine approach; an introducer catheter is advanced to cannulate and form a fluid tight seal with the proximal os of the Fallopian tube; a second catheter inside the introducer catheter is provided to track the length of the Fallopian tube and out into the abdominal cavity; a balloon at the end of the second catheter is inflated and the second catheter is retracted until the balloon seals the distal os of the Fallopian tube; irrigation is performed substantially over the length of the Fallopian tube; and the irrigation fluid is recovered for cytology or cell analysis.

VISUAL LARYNGEAL MASK

The present invention provides an improved visual laryngeal mask comprising a tube, an end of the tube is provided with a fixing seat. The fixing seat is provided with an airbag, and the fixing seat has a recess which is provided with an airway opening. An imaging cavity extends longitudinally inside an inner wall of the tube. The imaging cavity has a built-in imaging device, and the imaging cavity protrudes forward relative to the airway opening to form a stopper which prevents an epiglottis from blocking the imaging device. A front end of the stopper is concaved to form a recess, and an opening of the imaging cavity is located at a low point of the recess.
