ENDOSCOPE
An endoscope comprising: an insertion portion; a raising base provided at a distal end of the insertion portion; a wire configured to move in a raising direction to raise the raising base; a biasing element attached to the wire and configured to apply to the wire a biasing force in the raising direction; and an operation portion coupled to a proximal end of the insertion portion, the operation portion including a switching mechanism having a first state and a second state. The switching mechanism is configured to switch between the first state and the second state. In the first state, the switching mechanism prevents the biasing force from moving the wire in the raising direction and, in the second state, the switching mechanism allows the biasing force to move the wire in the raising direction.
Apparatus with deployable probe and blade and methods of use
A device includes a handle, an apparatus for probing and cutting, and an adaptor. The handle includes one or more triggers. The apparatus for probing and cutting is connectable to the handle and includes an elongated member, a probe, and a blade. The probe and the blade are selectively deployable from the elongate member via activation of the one or more triggers on the handle. The adaptor is configured to selectively connect the apparatus to the handle in a predetermined orientation.
ENDOSCOPE AND TREATMENT TOOL ELEVATING MECHANISM
There are provided an endoscope and a treatment tool elevating mechanism capable of achieving improvement in accessibility of a cleaning brush, prevention of wear of a distal-end-portion main body, and prevention of slipping of a treatment tool into the lower side of an operating wire. When viewed in a second direction perpendicular to both the longitudinal axis of the distal-end-portion main body and a first direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, a wire distal end portion of the operating wire connected to a wire connection portion of a treatment tool elevator is positioned on the other direction side with respect to an elevator main body portion of the treatment tool elevator. A second wall portion of an elevator-housing-space forming member has a first wall surface at least a portion of which has a shape along the trajectory of the wire connection portion that rotates about a rotary shaft, and a second wall surface provided at a position on one direction side of the first direction with respect to the first wall surface and having a shape extending along the trajectory of the elevator main body portion that rotates about the rotary shaft. When viewed in the second direction, the second wall surface overlaps at least a portion of the wire distal end portion in the first direction.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INTRABODY IMAGING
A catheter that comprises a catheter configured for housing at least a portion of a catheter configured for insertion into a body lumen in proximity of a targeted anatomical site and having an imager at a distal end thereof and an adjustable chamber configured for covering the imager. The catheter is configured for introducing a wave conductive medium to the adjustable chamber to increase wave conductivity between the targeted anatomical site and the imager.
Insertable robot for minimally invasive surgery
An insertable robot for minimally invasive surgery includes a tube array having a guide tube housed within a straightening tube. The guide tube includes a curved working end. The guide tube may be axially translated and rotated relative to the straightening tube such that the curved working end is constrained inside the straightening tube, causing the curved working end to achieve a smaller dimension. The tube array is inserted into a working channel on an endoscope, resectoscope or trocar. Once the tube array is inserted, the curved working end of the guide tube is translated forward beyond the distal end of the working channel, allowing the curved working end to return to its pre-formed shape. A surgical tool is inserted through the guide tube for an operation. The straightening tube allows the guide tube curved working end to be temporarily straightened during insertion and removal of the tube array.
Expanding endoscope and method
An endoscope having a camera and a tubular enclosure. A distal end of the camera may be movable from a first position in line with a longitudinal axis of the tubular enclosure to a second position lateral of the longitudinal axis of the tubular enclosure. Some embodiments are configured such that no portion of the endoscope obstructs a view from the distal end of the camera as the distal end of the camera is moved from the first position to the second position.
Endoscope Comprising Geared Elevator Mechanics
An endoscope including a handle having a handle housing and a manually operable element; and an insertion cord having a distal tip unit including an elevator element movable between a first elevator position and a second elevator position. The manually operable element is connected to the elevator element via elevator mechanics and a wire, and a manual operation of the manually operable element is transmitted via the elevator mechanics and the wire to the elevator element such that a first operation position of the manually operable element corresponds to the first elevator position and a second operation position of the manually operable element corresponds to the second elevator position. The elevator mechanics include an operation wheel connected to the manually operable element and including an operation wheel gear portion in meshing engagement with a wire wheel gear portion of a wire wheel connected to the wire.
ENDOSCOPE, ACCESSORY, AND ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM
An endoscope according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes an insertion portion configured to be inserted into a subject. A channel is provided in the insertion portion, the channel receiving an accessory. A plurality of first guides is spaced apart at intervals in the channel, the plurality of first guides configured to guide the accessory along a longitudinal axis of the insertion portion.
STERILIZED ENDOSCOPE KIT, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING STERILIZED ENDOSCOPE KIT
A sterilized endoscope kit, comprising a sterilized endoscope, a sterilized treatment instrument, a sterilized guide wire, and a packaging material. The sterilized endoscope includes a first lumen. The sterilized treatment instrument is inserted into the first lumen, the sterilized treatment instrument includes a second lumen. The sterilized guide wire is inserted into the second lumen. The sterilized endoscope, the sterilized treatment instrument, and the sterilized guide wire are arranged in the packaging material, and the packaging material provides a sterile environment for the sterilized endoscope, the sterilized treatment instrument, and the sterilized guide wire. A method for manufacturing a sterilized endoscope kit, comprising inserting a sterilized guide wire into a first lumen of a sterilized treatment instrument, inserting the sterilized treatment instrument into a second lumen of a sterilized endoscope, and placing the sterilized guide wire, the sterilized treatment instrument, and the sterilized endoscope into a packaging material.
Endoscope
Provided is an endoscope allowing two operating methods, that is, a surgeon's own manual operation and an operating method using a hand other than the surgeon regarding a hardness adjusting operation. An endoscope includes an insertion part having a flexible part; an operating part continuously provided on a proximal end side of the insertion part; a hardness adjusting mechanism serving as a first driving force input member that is provided from the operating part to the flexible part and adjusts the hardness of the flexible part; an operating ring that is provided in the operating part and is manually operated and inputs a driving force to the hardness adjusting mechanism; and a shaft serving as a second driving force input member that is provided separately from the operating ring and inputs a driving force to the hardness adjusting mechanism.
