Attachment system for conditioning light between endoscope and camera
Medical imaging camera head attachment devices and methods are provided using light captured by an endoscope system or other medical scope or borescope. Various camera head attachments are provided with a camera head design and system allowing recognition of the attachments, and enabling processing algorithms associated with each. The camera head optics are designed to work with a variety of attachments. Several attachments optical designs are provided.
Endoscope apparatus
An endoscope apparatus includes an identification unit provided in each of a plurality of optical adaptors, an MMA connected in parallel to the identification unit, an MMA drive circuit that is provided in a main body portion and applies a drive signal for driving the MMA through a pair of conductive wires, a sine-wave generation circuit that is provided in the main body portion and applies an alternating signal to the identification unit through a pair of conductive wires in a state where any one of the plurality of optical adaptors is mounted at a distal end portion, and CPU that is provided in the main body portion and measures an input impedance of the pair of conductive wires at a frequency of the alternating current signal to perform individual identification of the optical adaptor mounted at the distal end portion based on a measurement result.
Methods and devices for fallopian tube diagnostics
Methods and devices for performing minimally invasive procedures useful for Fallopian tube diagnostics are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the proximal os of the Fallopian tube is accessed via an intrauterine approach; an introducer catheter is advanced to cannulate and form a fluid tight seal with the proximal os of the Fallopian tube; a second catheter inside the introducer catheter is provided to track the length of the Fallopian tube and out into the abdominal cavity; a balloon at the end of the second catheter is inflated and the second catheter is retracted until the balloon seals the distal os of the Fallopian tube; irrigation is performed substantially over the length of the Fallopian tube; and the irrigation fluid is recovered for cytology or cell analysis.
ENDOSCOPE
An object is to provide an endoscope by which it is possible to reuse a camera including an expensive solid-state image sensor. An endoscope of the present invention includes a shaft to be inserted into a body, a handle mounted on a proximal end side of the shaft and including a grip and operation knobs, and a camera including a cable tube and a camera head equipped with an image sensor. The camera is separable from the handle and the shaft. The shaft is formed with a camera channel in which the camera is arranged, the handle is provided with a camera channel port communicating with the camera channel, and the cable tube of the camera is attached to a camera connector mounted to the camera channel port when the camera is arranged in the camera channel.—
Laryngoscope with camera attachment
The invention relates to medical devices for carrying out internal examination, such as laryngoscopes. The laryngoscope is provided with a camera element within a channel inside the blade.
Light field capture and rendering for head-mounted displays
Systems and methods for capturing and rendering light fields for head-mounted displays are disclosed. A mediated-reality visualization system includes a head-mounted display assembly comprising a frame configured to be mounted to a user's head and a display device coupled to the frame. An imaging assembly separate and spaced apart :from the head-mounted display assembly is configured to capture light-field data. A computing device in communication with the imaging assembly and the display device is configured to receive light-field data from the imaging assembly and render one or more virtual cameras. Images from the one or more virtual cameras are presented to a user via the display device.
Colon cleaning devices and methods
There is provided a colon cleaning device comprising: a tube through which liquid and fecal matter are removed from a colon of a patient, the tube having a longitudinal axis; a cleaning head positioned at the distal end of the tube, the cleaning head having at least one opening coaxial with the longitudinal axis, the at least one opening sized for fecal matter to enter the interior of the cleaning head from the colon; at least one disassembly element disposed within the cleaning head; and an actuating mechanism which actuates the disassembly element to perform sweeping displacement inside the cleaning head so that the at least one disassembly element rotates around the longitudinal axis to slice through the fecal matter; wherein the cleaning head and the tube are sized and shaped to be displaced along the colon of a patient.
ENDOSCOPE CAP
Disclosed is an endoscope cap includes a cap body coupled to a tip end of an endoscope introduced into an interior of an organism, an expansion/contraction part provided in the cap body, and expanded or contracted through injection of air, and an air supply part that injects or suctions the air into or from the expansion/contraction part, and the air supply part expands the expansion/contraction part by injecting the air into the expansion/contraction part and the expanded expansion/contraction part bends back a target tissue in the interior of the organism when the cap body reaches the target tissue.
SUTURE BASED CLOSURE DEVICE
A medical device includes a mounting structure that is adapted to be secured to a distal end of an endoscope. A first suture arm is pivotably secured to the mounting structure and is adapted to releasably secure a needle that is adapted to puncture tissue while accommodating a suture. A second suture arm is pivotably secured to the mounting structure and is adapted to releasably secure the needle. The first suture arm and the second suture arm cooperate to pass the needle back and forth therebetween along an arcuate path.
SMARTPHONE DENTAL IMAGING ATTACHMENT APPARATUS
