Provided are a blood pressure estimation device, and the like, the device being capable of accurately estimating blood pressure. The blood pressure estimation device includes a blood pressure estimation unit which estimates a blood pressure on the basis of a pressure in a specific time period and differences between a plurality of pulse wave signals measured in the specific time period due to the pressure.
Monitoring vital parameters of a compression garment wearer
Monitoring vital parameters of a wearer of a compression garment by analyzing a pressure signal waveform indicative of a fluid pressure in an inflatable and deflatable bladder of the compression garment. Analyzing the pressure signal waveform for an oscillating amplitude as a function of time and/or a representation of a pulse of the wearer provides an indication of blood pressure of the wearer.
Method and apparatus for cuff-less blood pressure measurement in a mobile device
A system and method is presented for cuff-less blood pressure measurement in a mobile device. A key aspect of this disclosure is the discovery of a new location for blood pressure measurement at the fingertip of a subject and that reflectance-mode photoplethysmography can be used to help make this measurement. Through experiments in human subjects, it was discovered that it is indeed possible to measure systemic blood pressure by having a subject press the fingertip against a reflectance-mode photo-plethysmography-force sensor unit under visual guidance and then compute blood pressure from the resulting variable-amplitude blood volume oscillations and applied pressure via an oscillometric algorithm.

The cradle can include a base, first and second sidewalls, a back wall connected to the base and the first and second sidewalls. The cradle can further include a first opening in the back wall configured to receive the first connector port and a second opening in the first sidewall configured to receive the first locking tab when the physiological monitoring device is secured to the cradle and the first locking tab is in the extended position.
Ischemic Precondition Treatment Equipment and Use and Method Thereof for Judging Health Condition of Blood Vessels
Disclosed is ischemic precondition treatment equipment and a use and method thereof for judging health condition of blood vessels. A gas way structure (4) is arranged inside a shell of ischemic precondition training treatment equipment. The gas way structure comprises a 5-way device (43). The 5-way device (43) is connected to a left gas pump (41), a right gas pump (42), a left solenoid valve (44), a right solenoid valve (45) and a release valve (48), respectively. The gas way structure (4) can rapidly bring a pressure of an armband airbag to the set pressure value in a short period of time, which is effective in relieving the patients' discomfort and pain when used. It is suitable for long-term use for training. In addition, it also can judge the health condition of blood vessels.
Suprasystolic measurement in a fast blood-pressure cycle
Disclosed herein is a system for monitoring a patient that includes a cuff configured to inflate to at least partially occlude an artery of the patient and a cuff controller configured to inflate the cuff during a dynamic phase and generally maintain inflation of the cuff at about a target pressure during a static phase. The system also includes a sensor configured to receive a signal associated with the at least partially occluded artery and generate an output signal based on the received signal, and a cuff control module configured to determine the target pressure during the dynamic phase and based on the output signal, and control the cuff controller during the dynamic phase and the static phase.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING BIO-INFORMATION
An apparatus for estimating bio-information includes: a sensor part configured to obtain contact pressure of a contact surface contacted by an object, and configured to obtain a contact image of the object that contacts the contact surface; and a processor configured to obtain a pulse wave signal of a region of interest based on the contact image, and configured to estimate bio-information based on the obtained pulse wave signal and the contact pressure.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR IMPROVED BLOOD PRESSURE MEASUREMENT
An apparatus (10) is for use with an inflatable cuff (14) for performing oscillometric blood pressure measurements, and the apparatus configured for detecting slippage of a cuff fastening (15). The apparatus includes a control unit (12) in combination with an acoustic sensor (20). The acoustic sensor is arranged so as to be sensitive in use to sounds emanating from the cuff during inflation of the cuff for performing a blood pressure measurement. A control unit acquires from the cuff a pressure signal indicative of pressure in the cuff, the pressure signal for oscillometrically deriving a blood pressure measurement. The control unit is further configured to receive a sensor input from the acoustic sensor and process it to detect sound signatures in the signal corresponding to a slippage of a fastening arrangement of the cuff, to thereby detect occurrence of cuff fastening slippage events. The control unit is then configured to trigger a response action responsive to detecting any slippage event, which could be processing the pressure signal to detect and compensate any artifacts in the signal caused by the slippage event, or could be for labelling the acquired measurement to alert a user that it could be compromised.
Methods and devices for remote ischemic conditioning via partial limb occlusion
Single- or dual-bladder devices for automated delivery of remote ischemic conditioning treatment via partial limb occlusion involve various methods of operating the cuff in which partial or full limb occlusion is achieved during the periods of cuff inflation. Achieving clinical benefits of remote ischemic conditioning without extended cessation of limb blood flow are advantageous due to lower required cuff pressure and reduced risk of clot formation in the limb vasculature.
