Graphical adjustment recommendations for vocalization

Audio of a user speaking is gathered while spatial data of the face of the user is gathered. Positions of elements of the face of are identified, wherein relative positions of the elements cause a plurality of qualities of the user voice. A subset of positions of the elements are identified to have caused a detected first quality of the user voice during the period of time. Alternate positions of the one or more elements are identified that are determined to cause the user voice to have a second quality rather than the first quality. A graphical representation of the face that depicts one or more adjustments from the subset of the positions to the alternate positions is provided to the user.

The sensor information acquisition unit acquires an angular velocity around an axis of a shaft portion of an exercise instrument from a sensor unit. An exercise analysis unit detects a timing of an impact of the exercise instrument. A calculation unit calculates a distance between a standard position set on a hitting surface of the exercise instrument and a position of the hitting based on the angular velocity at the time of an impact.

A walking support apparatus supports the walking movement of a walking person. The walking person may be an elderly person, a disabled person, an invalid, an athlete, a learner, or the like. A measurement unit measures walking information with respect to the walking person, and generates data that represents the walking information. An attachment applies an action to the arm of the walking person according to the walking information data measured by the measurement unit. Such an arrangement provides improved walking movement via the effect on the arm movement when the walking person is walking.

Training apparatus

A training apparatus includes a fixed frame, a training rod, a motor, rotation information detection sensor, tilt angle and position difference calculation units, determination, motor drive and position difference eliminating units. The training rod is supported by the fixed frame in a manner capable of being tilted by a motor about at least an X-axis or a Y-axis so as to hold the limb. The tilt angle calculation unit calculates a tilt angle of the training rod. The position difference calculation unit calculates a position difference. The determination unit obtains the position difference every time when a second time period elapses. If the position difference generated in the second time period is a first threshold or lower, the motor drive unit drives the motor so that the position difference is accumulated and maintained. The position difference eliminating unit resets the position difference at a predetermined timing.

MEASURING METHOD AND DEVICE

A method and apparatus are for determining a medical biomarker indicative of a neurodegenerative disease. The method includes receiving motion data from a sensor held or mounted for rotation with a body part of the user during a repeated rotational motion of the body part. The motion data are provided relative to a frame of reference associated with the sensor. The motion data are processed to identify orientation in the frame of reference associated with the sensor of primary, secondary, and tertiary axes of rotation for the motion of the body part of the user, each of the primary, secondary and tertiary axes being mutually perpendicular to one another. A medical biomarker is extracted by analysing the rotational motion of the body part of the user about the primary, secondary and tertiary axes.
