ABNORMAL DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM AND ABNORMAL DATA PROCESSING METHOD
The abnormal data processing system is provided with: a storage unit for holding a multiple-subject DB in which data on multiple subjects are accumulated and individual-subject DB in which data on individual subjects are accumulated; an individual-subject DB divergence-degree calculation unit for calculating an individual-subject DB divergence degree which is the degree of divergence of the new data from the individual-subject DB; a multiple-subject DB divergence degree calculation unit for calculating a multiple-subject DB divergence degree which is the degree of divergence of the new data from the multiple-subject DB; and a composite divergence degree calculation unit for determining a composite divergence by compositing the individual-subject DB divergence degree and the multiple-subject DB divergence degree using the number of data instances in the individual-subject DB. The abnormal data processing system determines whether or not the new data is abnormal on the basis of the composite divergence degree.
Systems, methods, and apparatus for isometric, isokinetic, isotonic, and isodynamic exercise
A scientifically controlled exercise based on a measurement of maximum voluntary contraction (MVC). A mechanical apparatus includes a sensor, an actuator, and a processor. The apparatus receives a mechanical exertion from a user while the processor receives signals from the sensor and sends signals to the actuator to control the mechanical apparatus. The processor measures a MVC exerted by a user and determines a protocol for the exercise based on the measured MVC. The protocol includes a specified exertion to be performed by a user, the specified force and velocity profile governing the exertion, and a specified sequence of repetitions of the exertion, spaced by rest periods. The protocol includes real-time feedback to the user related to compliance with the protocol. The methodology and equipment described herein provides users a safe and effective means of improving muscular strength or endurance and ameliorating various neurological or physiological conditions.
Computer systems with wearable force sensing devices
A system may include a wearable electronic device that gathers force input. The device may transmit force measurement information and other input to external equipment such as a head-mounted device. The wearable electronic device may have a force sensor that gathers force measurements as the wearable electronic device is being worn. The force sensor may have a force sensor housing structure configured to form a fluid-filled channel and one or more collapsible force sensor elements such as collapsible fluid-filled domes or other protruding portions of the force sensor housing structure. A pressure sensor may monitor changes in pressure in a fluid that fills the channel and the fluid-filled domes. The monitored changes in pressure represent force measurements for force applied by a user's body part or other objects on the collapsible force sensor elements.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REHABILITATION EXERCISE OF THE HANDS
Disclosed are a system and a method for rehabilitation exercise of hands. The system and the method help a device sense movements of the hands more accurately. The device for rehabilitation exercise of the hands comprising multiple sense parts that are located on each part of a user's hand, and configured to sense movements of the each part; and communication part configured to send movement data sensed by the multiple sense parts to an output device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR BUILDING ACTIVITY-BASED DATA COLLECTION DEVICES
A grip interface is used to provide information about a user to a range of connected devices and applications based on the users' interactions with the grip. By embedding into the grip an array of sensors for motion, health, environmental and other data using embedded microcontroller network technology, and focusing on the grip as the interface between the physical and virtual worlds, applications and services to existing grip-based devices are enabled. Applications for the grip include as sports, fitness equipment, health monitoring, activity tracking, coaching, physical therapy, mobility aide and virtual entertainment, among others.
Wireless wrist computing and control device and method for 3D imaging, mapping, networking and interfacing
An apparatus and method for light and optical depth mapping, 3D imaging, modeling, networking, and interfacing on an autonomous, intelligent, wearable wireless wrist computing, display and control system for onboard and remote device and graphic user interface control. Embodiments of the invention enable augmentation of people, objects, devices and spaces into a virtual environment and augmentation of virtual objects and interfaces into the physical world through its wireless multimedia streaming and multi-interface display and projection systems.
Movement disorder therapy system, devices and methods, and intelligent methods of tuning
The present invention relates to methods for tuning treatment parameters in movement disorder therapy systems. The present invention further relates to a system for screening patients to determine viability as candidates for certain therapy modalities, such as deep brain stimulation (DBS). The present invention still further provides methods of quantifying movement disorders for the treatment of patients who exhibit symptoms of such movement disorders including, but not limited to, Parkinson's disease and Parkinsonism, Dystonia, Chorea, and Huntington's disease, Ataxia, Tremor and Essential Tremor, Tourette syndrome, stroke, and the like. The present invention yet further relates to methods of tuning a therapy device using objective quantified movement disorder symptom data acquired by a movement disorder diagnostic device to determine the therapy setting or parameters to be provided to the subject via his or her therapy device. The present invention also provides treatment and tuning remotely, allowing for home monitoring of subjects.
A SELF DRIVEN REHABILITATION DEVICE AND METHOD THEREOF
The present invention provides a compact, wearable and portable self driven rehabilitation device which is cost effective, light weight, portable, easy to use and customizable to fit as needed. It provides real-time mirroring effect for better visual feedback.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CUSTOMIZING WAGER-RELATED INFORMATION FOR PRESENTATION TO A USER
A method and system are configured to generate user-specific information, such as wager-related information, for display on one or more display devices of a user. The system is configured to use factors, such as user preferences, user activity information, user location, user group information and/or a configuration of the user's display device(s), to generate, from a set of wager-related information such as a set of available bets, the user-specific information, such as a specific sub-set of the information or bets.
Device Administered Tests and Adaptive Interactions
An external medical device includes monitoring circuitry configured to monitor a cardiac condition of a patient using the external medical device; and a controller configured to: receive at least one of patient input and non-patient user input of a patient's ability; determine a patient interaction mode of the external medical device based on the at least one of the patient input and the non-patient user input; and adapt the patient interaction mode of the external medical device over time based on the at least one of the patient input and the non-patient user input.
