METHODS AND KIT FOR A NAVIGATED PROCEDURE
Methods and a kit for a navigated procedure, such as a navigated surgical procedure relate to an optical sensor system such as a sterile optical sensor system. The methods relate to using components of the optical sensor system and a processing unit, for example, performing a navigated procedure using an optical sensor as draped and using the processing unit coupled to the optical sensor. Performing the navigated procedure comprises receiving instructions for the navigated procedure from the processing unit, and using the optical sensor comprises interacting with a button on the optical sensor through the drape to provide input to the processing unit. A kit comprises optical sensor system components and instructions for performing a method.
HEADSET SYSTEM
Arrangements described herein relate to a headset system and a method to manufacturing the headset system, the headset system including a headset configured to lay on top of a surface and to support a head of a subject when the subject is in a supine position or a reclined position, at least one probe adjustment mechanism, and a probe coupled to the at least one probe adjustment mechanism and configured to emit acoustic energy.
Vital sign detection and measurement
A patient monitoring device includes a signal transmission device configured to direct a signal transmission toward a target area and to receive reflected signals from the target area, and a signal analysis device having a processing device and at least one non-transitory computer readable data storage device storing instructions, that when executed by the processing device, cause the patient monitoring device to transmit signals, receive reflected signals, and determine a non-contact vital sign measurement based on data from the reflected signals.
Virtual guidance for ankle surgery procedures
An example method includes registering, via a visualization device, a virtual model of a portion of an anatomy of an ankle of a patient to a corresponding portion of the anatomy of the ankle viewable via the visualization device, the virtual model obtained from a virtual surgical plan for an ankle arthroplasty procedure to attach a prosthetic to the anatomy. The example method also comprises displaying, via the visualization device and overlaid on the portion of the anatomy, a virtual guide that guides at least one of preparation of the anatomy for attachment of the prosthetic or attachment of the prosthetic to the anatomy.
GLOBAL BALANCE USING DYNAMIC MOTION ANALYSIS
An exemplary method of determining a surgical spinal correction for a subject using analysis of motion capture images of the subject, which uses the steps of obtaining pre-operative three-dimensional images of a spinal region, obtaining a pre-operative time sequenced set of images of the subject during a movement progression of said subject, calculating in a plurality of the motion capture images, alignment parameters relating to upper and lower body regions of the subject, and determining if any of the calculated alignment parameters are outside their predetermined acceptable ranges in one or more of the images, iteratively adjusting anatomical elements in three-dimensional images until all of the calculated alignment parameters are within their predetermined acceptable ranges; and adjusting spinal anatomy in the three-dimensional images according to the degree of adjustment of spinal parameters in the motion capture images to determine a surgical spinal correction.
Methods And Systems For Robot-Assisted Surgery
Methods and systems for performing robot-assisted surgery, including methods for defining a boundary surface for a robotic surgery system, methods for operating a robotic arm in an image-guided surgery system, methods and systems for providing haptic feedback to a user during robot-assisted surgery, and a robotic arm for use in robot-assisted surgery.
Methods And Systems For Display Of Patient Data In Computer-Assisted Surgery
Methods and systems for performing computer-assisted image-guided surgery, including robotically-assisted surgery. A method of displaying image data includes displaying image data of a patient on a handheld display device, tracking the handheld display device using a motion tracking system, and modifying the image data displayed in response to changes in the position and orientation of the handheld display device. Further embodiments include a sterile case for a handheld display device, display devices on a robotic arm, and methods and systems for performing image-guided surgery using multiple reference marker devices fixed to a patient.
Systems and methods for intra-operative pelvic registration
A system for intra-operatively registering a pelvis comprising an acetabulum with a computer model of the pelvis in a coordinate system. The system may include: a) a surgical navigation system including a tracking device; and b) at least one computing device in communication with the surgical navigation system. The at least one computing device: i) receiving first data points from first intra-operatively collected points on an articular surface of the acetabulum, the first data points collected with the tracking device; ii) receiving a second data point from a second intra-operatively collected point on the pelvis, the second data point collected with the tracking device, the second data point corresponding in location to a second virtual data point on the computer model; and iii) determining an intra-operative center of rotation of the femur relative to the pelvis from the first data points.
Method of controlling access to activity data from a garment
An image of a garment is obtained (101). The garment comprises a marker located on an outside surface of the garment. The marker comprises a code string identifying the garment encoded into a visual symbol. The image is processed to generate a data string representing the visual symbol (102). The data string is used to access activity data associated with a sensor of the garment identified by the code string. The system comprises the garment and one or more electronic devices operable to perform the method.
KNEE TRAJECTORY INFORMATION GENERATION DEVICE, KNEE TRAJECTORY INFORMATION GENERATION METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A knee trajectory information generation device which includes an acquisition unit that acquires walking data including time-series data of a foot position and a knee position of a subject, a first calculation unit that calculates a first movement route connecting a start point and an end point of a gait cycle by using time-series data of the foot position included in the walking data, a second calculation unit that calculates a second movement route corresponding to a trajectory of the knee position between the start point and the end point of the gait cycle by using time-series data of the knee position included in the walking data, an information generation unit that calculates a difference between the first movement route and the second movement route and generate knee trajectory information including visual information corresponding to the calculated difference, and an output unit that outputs the generated knee trajectory information.
