Depth sensing visualization modes for non-contact monitoring
The present invention relates to the field of medical monitoring, and, in particular, to non-contact detecting and monitoring of patient breathing. Systems, methods, and computer readable media are described for calculating a change in depth of a region of interest (ROI) on a patient and assigning one or more visual indicators to at least a portion of a graphic based on the calculated changes in depth and/or based on a tidal volume signal generated for the patient. In some embodiments, the systems, methods, and/or computer readable media can display the visual indicators overlaid onto at least the portion in real-time and/or can display the tidal volume signal in real-time. The systems, methods, and/or computer readable media can trigger an alert and/or an alarm when a breathing abnormality is detected.
DETERMINING BIOMETRIC DATA USING AN ARRAY OF INFRARED ILLUMINATORS
Methods, devices, and systems related to determining biometric data using an array of infrared (IR) illuminators are described. In an example, a method can include projecting a number of IR dots on a user using a dot projector and an array of IR illuminators, capturing an IR image of the number of IR dots using an IR camera, comparing a number of pixels of the captured IR image to a number of corresponding pixels of a baseline IR image using a processing resource, and determining biometric data of the user at least partially based on comparing the captured IR image to the baseline IR image using the processing resource.
Calorimeter
Provided herein is technology relating to measuring temperature and particularly, but not exclusively, to devices, methods, systems, and kits for doing measuring temperature at high resolution, e.g., in living organisms.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MOTION SICKNESS MITIGATION IN A VEHICLE
Various systems and methods are disclosed for predicting, detecting or mitigating motion sickness of one or more occupants of a vehicle. Also, disclosed are systems and methods for measuring aspects of head motion and characteristics of at least one eye an occupant of a vehicle and using that information mitigate motion sickness.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HUMAN MOTION DETECTION AND TRACKING
A system and method for human motion detection and tracking are disclosed. In one embodiment, a smart device having an optical sensing instrument monitors a stage. Memory is accessible to a processor and communicatively coupled to the optical sensing instrument. The system captures an image frame from the optical sensing instrument. The image frame is then converted into a designated image frame format, which is provided to a pose estimator. A two-dimensional dataset is received from the pose estimator. The system then converts, using inverse kinematics, the two-dimensional dataset into a three-dimensional dataset, which includes time-independent static joint positions, and then calculates, using the three-dimensional dataset, the position of each of the respective plurality of body parts in the image frame.
MONITORING EXERCISE ACTIVITY IN A GYM ENVIRONMENT
A system for monitoring exercise activity in a gym environment includes an image-based monitoring arrangement, a storage device, and a replay device. The monitoring arrangement generates a time series of 3D representations of an individual, with each 3D representation defining a pose of the individual and comprising 3D positions of a plurality of predefined feature points of the individual. The storage device receives and stores an exercise sequence, which comprises at least part of the time series of 3D representations and corresponds to an exercise performed by the individual. The replay device retrieves the exercise sequence from the storage device, renders an animation of the individual when performing the exercise based on the exercise sequence, and provides the animation for display. The system enables a user to review the exercise at any desirable viewing angle and/or magnification.
Methods and apparatus for fall prevention
A system for fall prevention includes a platform for supporting a patient, the platform including rails and rail sensors, an image capturing device for capturing images of the patient, a patient monitor for interactive communication with the patient, a health monitoring station for receiving rail sensor data and communicating with the patient monitor, and an edge network device co-located with the platform and communicating with the station and the image capturing device. The edge network device receives image data from the image capturing device when the rail sensors indicate that the rail is down and the patient is at risk to themselves, anonymizes the image data to generate a skeleton image, determines a posture associated with the skeleton image, triggers alerts at the station when the patient is predicted to be sitting, and triggers escalated alerts at the station when the patient is predicted to be standing.
Audio enhancement for hearing impaired in a shared listening environment
An electronic apparatus and method for enhancement of audio for users with a hearing impairment in a shared listening environment is provided. The electronic apparatus receives first audio content from a media source and detects a first user with a hearing disability as a wearer of the personal listening device. The electronic apparatus modifies one or more features of the first audio content based on an audio enhancement profile associated with the detected first user. Thereafter, the electronic apparatus generates second audio content based on the modification and shares the generated second audio content with the personal listening device.
Thermal data analysis for determining location, trajectory and behavior
The system is configured to locate, track and/or analyze activities of living beings in an environment. The system does not require the input of personal biometric data. The sensor system detects infrared (IR) energy from a living being moving in an environment, determines a temperature of the living being based on IR energy data of the IR energy, projects the temperature onto a grid having sequential pixels, determines serial changes of the temperature in the sequential pixels and determines a trajectory of the living being based on the serial changes of the temperature in the sequential pixels.
PREDICTIVE SYSTEM FOR ELOPEMENT DETECTION
A patient monitoring system includes a camera that selectively delivers a video feed to a monitoring station. A processor evaluates the video feed, and converts the video feed into a plurality of data points for an elopement detection system. The plurality of data points correspond at least to a combination of facial features and components of clothing for each person within the video feed. The processor is further configured to associate the combination of facial features and the components of clothing for each person to define a confirmed association, to identify whether the person is a patient or a non-patient, to verify the confirmed association of the patient by comparing updated data points from the video feed with the confirmed association, and to activate an alert when the confirmed association of the patient is unverified based upon a comparison with the updated data points.
