FLUID COLLECTION DEVICE
Disclosed embodiments relate to a collection device for bodily fluids comprising a tubular material with a first end and second end. A portion of the first end is configured to be secured to a user and the tubular material may be folded over itself to form a first sheath and a second sheath. In some applications, the fluid collection devices described may be secured to a user using interlocking loops.
METHODS FOR THE CHARACTERIZATION OF FLUID
Provided herein are methods for detecting a menstrual cycle disorder. Menstrual cycle disorders is detected through analysis of a property of a collected menstrual fluid sample, such as gene expression, flow rate, protein content, nucleic acid content, biomarkers, or other properties.

Vacuum pad and related system
A vacuum pad may include a top layer forming a top surface of the vacuum pad; a bottom layer forming a bottom surface of the vacuum pad; and a plurality of spacers located between the top layer and the bottom layer such that an interior space is formed between the top layer and the bottom layer. The interior space may have at least one channel extending around at least one spacer of the plurality of spacers. The vacuum pad may also include an outlet tube in fluid communication with the interior space, where the top layer includes a plurality of holes. A vacuum system may include the vacuum pad along with a canister and a vacuum source for moving fluid from the vacuum pad to the canister.
FLUID COLLECTION DEVICE
Aspects of the present disclosure provide a fluid collection device including a rigid or semi-rigid structure having a wedge-shaped leading edge to fit under a patient's buttocks while the patent is supine. At least one receptacle is provided in the structure to receive fluid discharged by the patient. A measurement apparatus associated with the at least one receptacle indicates a threshold volume of fluid collected by the fluid collection device.
Toilet with Health and Wellness Sensors in the Lid
An analytical toilet comprising a bowl for receiving excreta from a user; a lid adapted to cover the bowl; and a first health and wellness sensor in the lid for measuring a characteristic of the user's excreta is disclosed.
TISSUE COLLECTION BAGS WITH INNER SURFACE POUCHES
A collection bag for specimen retrieval includes an outer surface and an inner surface. The inner surface includes pouches that prevent fluid from migrating out of the collection bag. The collection bag can be selectively coupled to an end effector of a specimen retrieval device. The pouches may be arranged in one or more rows about the inner surface of the collection bag. The pouches can be inverted so that pockets of the pouches open toward a bottom end portion of the collection bag.
MENSTRUAL CUP HAVING BLOOD TEST CARTRIDGE
The present invention relates to a menstrual cup having a blood test cartridge. A menstrual cup according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a body part having an opening formed at one side of the body part, a storage part configured to receive menstrual blood therein, and a cartridge receiving part connected to the storage part at a side opposite the opening, and a cartridge for blood test removably mounted in the cartridge receiving part.
PERSONAL HYGIENE DEVICE FOR DETECTING A FLUID
A personal hygiene device may have a main body with an absorbent material configured to absorb a fluid, a sensor disposed within the main body, and a controller configured to communicate with the sensor. The sensor has a conductor and an insulator containing at least a portion of the conductor, and the sensor is configured to detect a first electrical value and a second electrical value that is different from the first electrical value. The sensor is also configured to transmit a signal to the controller upon detection of the second electrical value.
Animal olfactory detection of disease as control for health metrics collected by medical toilet
We disclose a medical toilet that comprises one or more medical devices and a control for the metrics they collect. The medical devices may be used to collect metrics relevant to a user's health status. The medical toilet further comprises a conduit through which volatile organic compounds travel from the toilet bowl to the environment outside the toilet. An animal trained to identify the scent of bodily waste collected from a user that is afflicted with a disease perceives the scent of the user's bodily waste traveling through the conduit and performs a defined act upon perceiving the disease scent. The metric collected by the medical device(s) may be used to diagnose the same disease as that which the animal is trained to identify. The diagnosis provided by the animal by way of the conduit acts as a control for the metric collected by the medical device.
