Magnetic lancet device
Embodiments of the present invention provide magnetic lancet devices and methods for driving a lancet. For example, a magnetic lancet device may include a driving mechanism having a plurality of magnets and a lancet coupled to the driving mechanism. A magnetic interaction between the plurality of magnets is configured to drive the lancet from an engaged position to a penetrating position.
Sampling module device and method
A medicament injection device includes a device body portion that includes a penetrating member channel. A penetrating member is provided with a sharpened distal tip and shaft portion that is slidably disposed within the penetrating channel to provide for a penetrating to travel in a linear axial movement. A pierceable membrane isolates a penetrating member in an associated penetrating member chamber. A medicament reservoir is in fluid communication with the penetrating member. The medicament reservoir is configured to house a medicament and is coupled to the penetrating member to allow for delivery of medicament to a tissue site.
Lancet pricking device
A lancet pricking device comprises a lancet, a launching spring, a trigger part and a holder housing the lancet, launching spring and trigger part. The lancet comprises a lancet body, lancet cap and pricking needle. The pricking needle is in both the lancet body and lancet cap. The trigger part has a pair of arms positioned inside the holder. The launching spring is attached to the lancet body. The lancet body is secured to the arms of the trigger part by an abutment of the lancet body on the arms such that the launching spring is compressed before a pricking operation. The trigger part cannot be pushed toward the inside of the holder before the lancet cap is removed, but can be pushed toward the inside of the holder after the cap is removed. The lancet body warps when pressed to release the secured lancet body.
Lancer
A lancer device that enables a user to draw blood from a patient and discard the used lancet without touching it. The device also has an adjustable tip for selecting the depth of stylet penetration into the patient and a triggering mechanism that utilizes a yoke latch and a leaf spring to discharge the lancet. The lancer also has a dampening feature to reduce vibrations when the lancet is moving.
Vacuum assisted lancing system and method for blood extraction with minimal pain
A lancing system can include a device body having a sealing device coupled to a lancing end, a lancing shaft slideably coupled to the lancing end, a lancing spring coupled to the lancing shaft, a release mechanism, a main shaft slideably coupled with a free end of the device body in communication with the release mechanism, a piston coupled to the main shaft, a vacuum spring coupled to the piston, and a shaft coupler having at least two separable portions for removably coupling the lancing shaft to the main shaft. The system can include a lance tool having an insertion portion and a removal portion. A method can include creating a first portion of a vacuum, lancing a surface, and creating a second portion of a vacuum.
Patient's skin-puncturing devices
A skin-puncturing device may include: a main body; a cup configured to close the main body; a puncturing mechanism with a lancet guiding unit; a drive spring of the lancet guiding unit; a driving sleeve; a return spring of the lancet guiding unit; a button configured to tension the drive spring; a member configured to release the tension of the drive spring; a puncture depth regulation mechanism; and a used lancet removal mechanism. The driving sleeve may be configured to rotate within the casing, to slide toward a front part of the device, and to slide toward a back part of the device. The puncture depth regulation mechanism may include: the button, rotary-coupled with the driving sleeve; limiting steps that define relative puncture depths for selection by the driving sleeve; and a bumper of the driving sleeve configured to engage a selected one of the limiting steps.
Lancet pricking device
A lancet pricking device comprising a lancet, a launching spring and a lancet holder for housing therein the lancet and the launching spring. The lancet pricking device of the present invention is characterized in that the lancet comprises a lancet body, a lancet cap and a pricking needle, and the pricking needle is disposed in both the lancet body and the lancet cap; wherein the launching spring is attached to the lancet body, and the lancet body is secured by abutting against the lancet holder such that the launching spring is kept compressed before a pricking operation; and wherein, when the lancet cap is removed, the lancet body becomes capable of warping upon being pressed from an outside to cause the secured lancet body to be released.
Precision depth control lancing tip
A bodily fluid sampling device is operable to lance with a precise depth and express fluid from both fingertip and alternate sites. In one form, the device is operable to adjust the penetration depth of the lancet into the skin. The bodily fluid sampling device includes a lancet adapted to form an incision in skin. A skin contacting member has an orifice through which the lancet extends when lancing the skin. The orifice has a first opening size that is sized to flatten the skin around the lancet during lancing. The orifice has a second opening size that is larger than the first opening size after the incision is formed to express fluid from the incision.
MICROPERFUSION NEEDLE OR FISTULA NEEDLE WITH PROTECTIVE ELEMENT
A microperfusion needle or fistula needle with a protective element comprises a first component comprising a cannula, a body rigidly joined to the cannula, and having grasping wings extending therefrom, a second component comprising an elongate body having a cavity for slidably receiving the first component between an operating position of the cannula and a safety position of the cannula, the elongate body having lateral slots for the grasping wings to extend therethrough, the grasping wings being suitable for elastically bending around and contacting opposed portions of the elongate body. The elongate body comprises two arrays of projections, which are contacted by the wings when bent. Opposed pairs of projections are designed to contact and mechanically interfere with the grasping wings when bent.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR BLOOD GLUCOSE MONITORING
The present invention provides for an apparatus, including: a lancing device; a cartridge; where the lancing device is configured to house the cartridge; where the cartridge is configured to house a plurality of test strips and a glucose monitoring apparatus; where the glucose monitoring apparatus is configured to determine a glucose test result from at least one test strip of the plurality of test strips.
