A fuel gas supply system for a fuel cell includes an injector, an inlet pressure acquisition unit, a discharge valve, a hydrogen partial pressure acquisition unit, and a controller. The controller is configured to stop driving the injector when a hydrogen partial pressure reaches or exceeds a first upper limit value in a state where the injector is being driven, and start driving the injector when the hydrogen partial pressure falls to or below a first lower limit value in a state where the injector is stopped. The controller is configured to open the discharge valve when an inlet pressure reaches or exceeds a second upper limit value in a state where the discharge valve is closed, and close the discharge valve when the inlet pressure falls to or below a second lower limit value in a state where the discharge valve is open.

In a fuel cell vehicle and a method of controlling the fuel cell vehicle, when a gas pressure in a high pressure tank becomes less than a first threshold pressure, the SOC of an energy storage device is increased to a margin SOC. When the gas pressure becomes a second threshold pressure which is lower than the first threshold pressure, the amount of fuel released from the high pressure tank is limited to prevent the occurrence of buckling, and limit the travel driving force by the motor to a required limit. At the time of limiting the travel driving force, electrical energy of the energy storage device is used to provide assistance in a manner that the travel driving force by the motor becomes the travel driving force of the required limit.
Fuel cell system
A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell generating electric power by a reaction between a fuel gas and an oxidant gas, an injector supplying the fuel gas to the fuel cell, a discharge line in which an off-gas discharged from the fuel cell flows, an ejector recirculating the off-gas flowing in the discharge line to the fuel cell using a flow of the fuel gas from the injector, a discharge valve discharging the off-gas flowing in the discharge line to the outside, and a control device controlling supply of the fuel gas by the injector and opening and closing of the discharge valve. When supply of the fuel gas by the injector is stopped, the control device opens the discharge valve while the off-gas is recirculated to the fuel cell and closes the discharge valve before supply of the fuel gas by the injector is restarted.

The control portion has start means for starting the fuel cell by raising the voltage of the fuel cell from a starting voltage to an operation voltage that is lower than an open-circuit voltage, and leakage determination means for determining whether there is leakage of the fuel gas before the voltage of the fuel cell reaches the operation voltage when the fuel cell is started.
Reforming Catalyst Pattern For Fuel Cell Operated With Enhanced CO2 Utilization
A reforming element for a molten carbonate fuel cell stack and corresponding methods are provided that can reduce or minimize temperature differences within the fuel cell stack when operating the fuel cell stack with enhanced CO.sub.2 utilization. The reforming element can include at least one surface with a reforming catalyst deposited on the surface. A difference between the minimum and maximum reforming catalyst density and/or activity on a first portion of the at least one surface can be 20% to 75%, with the highest catalyst densities and/or activities being in proximity to the side of the fuel cell stack corresponding to at least one of the anode inlet and the cathode inlet.
Power generation system and method for cooling fuel cell exhaust in power generation system
In order to protect the temperature of an exhaust stream in an exhaust line, even if the temperature of the exhaust stream discharged from a fuel cell exceeds a temperature during rated operation, a power generation system has: an SOFC; an exhaust air line or an exhaust fuel line, wherein the exhaust air line and exhaust fuel line carry exhaust air and exhaust fuel gas discharged from the SOFC, respectively; a temperature detector for detecting the temperature of the exhaust air or the exhaust fuel gas discharged from the SOFC or the temperature of the exhaust air line or the exhaust fuel line; an exhaust cooling device for cooling the exhaust air in the exhaust air line or the exhaust fuel gas in the exhaust fuel line; and a control device for activating the exhaust cooling device when the temperature detected by the temperature detector exceeds a predetermined temperature.
