FETAL HEART RATE MONITORING DEVICE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THEREOF
The present document relates to a fetal heart rate monitoring device for monitoring a heart rate of a fetus. The device comprises a carrier that is attachable to a body, a fetal electrocardiographic sensor for providing an output signal, and a reference sensor for filtering the output signal. The device also comprises an actuator arrangement comprising a plurality of actuators distributed in an area around the fetal electrocardiographic sensor. Each actuator is configured for providing a haptic signal to the body. A controller communicatively connects to the fetal electrocardiographic sensor to receive the output signal, and to control the actuators for providing a haptic feedback signal to the body dependent on the output signal. The document also relates to a control method for such a device.
Efficient fetal-maternal ECG signal separation from two maternal abdominal leads via diffusion-based channel selection
In some embodiments, techniques capable of obtaining high-quality fetal ECG (fECG) information using as few as two composite (maternal and fetal) maternal abdominal ECG (aECG) signals to derive the fetal ECG information are provided. In some embodiments, maternal ECG information and fetal ECG information are both obtained from the aECG signals, and are either presented or stored. The techniques may use novel proposed diffusion-based channel selection criteria. To validate the proposed techniques, analysis results of two publicly available databases are described, and compared with other available techniques in the literature.

SURFACE ELECTRODE FOR PATIENT MONITORING
A surface electrode for patient monitoring includes a flexible substrate, a dry electrode on the substrate, and a wet electrode configured to contact an electrode gel in contact with a patient's skin. A conductive epoxy is arranged between the dry electrode and the wet electrode. The conductive epoxy is configured to protect the dry electrode from corrosion and transfer electrical potentials from the wet electrode to the printed dry electrode.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MATERNAL UTERINE ACTIVITY DETECTION
A method includes receiving acoustic inputs; generating signal channels from the acoustic inputs; pre-processing data in the signal channels; extracting S1-S2 peaks from the pre-processed data; removing artifacts and outliers from the S1-S2 peaks; generating S1-S2 signal channels based on the S1-S2 peaks in the pre-processed signal channels; selecting two or more of the S1-S2 signal channels; and combining the selected two or more S1-S2 signal channels to produce an acoustic uterine monitoring signal.
Sensor interface system
A sensor interface system for providing a connection between at least one sensor and a maternal-fetal monitor, wherein the interface system converts electrical muscle activity captured by the sensor(s) into uterine activity data signals for use by the maternal-fetal monitor. The sensor interface system of the invention preferably includes a conversion means for converting the signals from the sensor(s) into signals similar to those produced by a tocodynamometer.
