A housing part for an electrical device, which is an electrical storage device, a sensor housing, a battery, a microbattery, or a capacitor, the housing part including: a feedthrough, the housing part or a base body which is a part of the housing part including the feedthrough, the feedthrough having at least one opening, the at least one opening having a wall with a reduced enclosure length EL.sub.red, the at least one opening configured for receiving a conductive material or a conductor in a glass material or a glass-ceramic material, the reduced enclosure length EL.sub.red being in a range of 0.05 mm to 0.6 mm, 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm, 0.1 mm to 0.4 mm, or 0.15 mm to 0.2 mm.

An energy storage device includes: an electrode assembly; a case that accommodates the electrode assembly; and an external terminal made of metal and disposed in the case, in which the external terminal includes: a flange portion spreading along the case outside the case; and a shaft portion extending from the flange portion, penetrating the case, and electrically connected to the electrode assembly, in which the flange portion includes a plurality of metal layers layered in a penetrating direction of the shaft portion.

A secondary battery includes a battery can and a cover member. The battery can has a container-shaped structure and contains a battery device inside. The cover member is attached to an open surface of the battery can via a gasket. The cover member includes stainless steel coated with nickel plating. The nickel plating has a crystal structure in which a proportion of columnar crystals is greater than or equal to 80%.

A secondary battery includes a battery can and a cover member. The battery can has a container-shaped structure and contains a battery device inside. The cover member is attached to an open surface of the battery can via a gasket. The cover member includes stainless steel coated with nickel plating. The nickel plating has a crystal structure in which a proportion of columnar crystals is greater than or equal to 80%.
SECONDARY BATTERY
A secondary battery includes an outer package member, an electrode terminal, and a battery device. The outer package member has a flat and columnar shape and includes a first bottom part and a second bottom part opposed to each other. The electrode terminal is supported by the first bottom part and is insulated from the first bottom part. The battery device is contained inside the outer package member and includes a first electrode and a second electrode. The first bottom part has a recess around the electrode terminal.

A secondary battery includes: an electrode assembly; a case made of steel, in which openings are provided at opposite sides and in which the electrode assembly is arranged; a side terminal electrically connected to an electrode tab of the electrode assembly; and a cap plate made of steel, through which the side terminal passes and which is coupled to an opening of the openings.

The present invention relates to a secondary battery in which a conductive cover, which is electrically connected to a case and has a flat part, is formed at an upper end of the case so as to facilitate welding of an electrode tab and enable space utilization to be maximized. According to one embodiment, disclosed is a secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly; a case for accommodating the electrode assembly; a cap assembly which is coupled to an upper part of the case so as to seal the case, and has a terminal part; and a conductive cover which is coupled to an upper part of the case and fixed to a lateral plate of the case.

The present invention relates to a secondary battery in which a conductive cover, which is electrically connected to a case and has a flat part, is formed at an upper end of the case so as to facilitate welding of an electrode tab and enable space utilization to be maximized.
