A terminal-equipped electric wire includes a terminal and a coated conductive wire, which are electrically connected to each other. A crimp part of the terminal is crimped to the coated conductive wire, and has a conductive wire crimp part, which is crimped to a conductive wire that is exposed from a coating on the front-end side of the coated conductive wire, and a coating crimp part, which is crimped to the coating of the coated conductive wire. On the front-end side (terminal body side) of the conductive wire crimp part, an electric wire holding part, which applies a relatively strong holding force on the conductive wire, is provided, On the rear-end side (coating crimp part side) of the conductive wire crimp part, a conductive part for achieving conduction with the conductive wire is formed.
SHIELDED TERMINAL AND SHIELDED CONNECTOR
Provided are a shielded terminal and a shielded connector that can prevent a short circuit between a connection portion for an electric component and an outer conductor. A shielded terminal includes an outer conductor, a connection portion for an electric component, and an insulator, wherein the outer conductor has a crimping portion that is crimped onto an end portion of a shielded wire, a bottom surface portion in which an opening is formed forward of the crimping portion, and side surface portions provided on both the left and right sides of the bottom surface portion, the connection portion is disposed between the left and right side surface portions and formed by connecting a center conductor of the shielded wire and the electric component to each other, and the insulator has left and right side walls that are located between the connection portion and the respective side surface portions.
Connecting Terminal and A Connecting Assembly
The present invention provides a connecting terminal for connecting a wire, including: a body; a clip portion extending from both sides of the body and configured to hold a conductor of a wire; and a fixing part extending from both sides of the body, including: a clamping part configured to clamp an insulating layer of the wire; and a stopping part formed on the clamping part and configured to abut the terminal position assurance device to enable the connecting terminal to be fixed in the housing when the connecting terminal is mounted in the housing of the connecting assembly. Since the fixing part has both a clamping part for clamping the wire and a stopping part forming an appropriate height difference with the wire, the connecting terminal provided by the present invention becomes more compact and miniaturized.
TERMINAL FITTING AND CONNECTOR
A terminal fitting 13 includes a tubular portion 30, an elastic contact portion 33, and an extended portion 35. The tubular portion 30 extends in a front-rear direction and has an open front surface. The elastic contact portion 33 is disposed in the tubular portion 30, extends in a front-rear direction, and has a rear end directly or indirectly connected to the tubular portion 30 and a front end that is a free end. The extended portion 35 extends from the tubular portion 30 and opposes the elastic contact portion 33 in a direction in which the elastic contact portion 33 bends. The extended portion 35 is disposed at a position exposed on a front surface side of the tubular portion 30.
Shielded electrical connector for automotive applications and method of assembling thereof
A method of assembling a connector for automotive applications, comprising the steps of: providing a cable having at least one inner conductor; connecting an elongated inner signal contact of the connector to a stripped end of the at least one inner conductor; surrounding the elongated inner signal contact by an insulating element; placing a first shielding part of the connector around a first portion of the insulating element from a first radial direction; placing a second shielding part of the connector around a second portion of the insulating element from a second radial direction generally opposite to the first radial direction; and joining the first and second shielding parts to form a shielding contact of the connector surrounding the insulating element.
Electric wire with terminal, coating apparatus, and method of manufacturing electric wire with terminal
An electric wire with a terminal includes: an electric wire having a core wire, and a cover; a crimp terminal having a core wire crimping portion which is crimped to the core wire, a cover crimping portion which is crimped to the cover, and a connecting portion which extends from the core crimping portion to the cover crimping portion; and a resin which integrally covers the core wire and the crimp terminal. The core wire has an intermediate portion which extends between the core crimping portion and the cover crimping portion. The connecting portion has a bottom wall portion and a pair of side wall portions which extend in a height direction of the crimp terminal from end portions of the bottom wall portion in a width direction.
Connector with improved vibration resilience
The present invention is provided with: a terminal metal fitting to which a core wire exposed portion of a core wire of a terminal of a wire is physically and electrically connected; a housing inside which the terminal metal fitting and the terminal of the wire are housed and from which the wire is drawn outside from inside; and a wire holding member that holds, inside the housing, the terminal of the wire, in which the wire holding member has a fixed portion that is fixed to a fixing portion inside the housing, and a holding portion that holds the terminal of the wire so that the terminal of the wire does not move relatively to the housing when the fixed portion is fixed to the fixing portion.
Retaining Ring Terminal
Provided is a female electrical connector referred to as a retaining ring terminal. The retaining ring terminal is a one-piece electrical connector having a crimp style cable connector portion on one end for receiving an electrical cable and a female post connector portion on a second end for receiving a post or male electrical connector. The female post connector portion includes a flat planar ring and a plurality of tabs (separated by a plurality of grooves) which extend from the inner surface of the flat planar ring inwardly towards the opening of the female post connector portion. The female post connector portion also includes a groove which extends through a flat planar ring, referred to as a ring groove which becomes a tab groove and has the same shape as the other tab grooves. A pair of ring holes are positioned on opposite sides of the ring groove on the flat planar ring.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING TERMINAL-EQUIPPED ELECTRIC WIRE
A method for manufacturing a terminal-equipped electric wire includes a step of crimping a first terminal to one end of an electric wire, a step of crimping a second terminal to the other end of the electric wire with a tubular seal member, a first waterproofing step of providing, at the one end of the electric wire, an anticorrosion member that covers an element wire bundle of the electric wire, and a second waterproofing step of providing, at the other end of the electric wire, a sealing member so as to fill gaps between conductive element wires of the element wire bundle in a tubular insulating sheath. The second waterproofing step includes a step of applying a moisture curable resin to the element wire bundle, and a step of applying a curing accelerator that accelerates curing of the moisture curable resin to the element wire bundle.
