Optical assemblies with managed connectivity
An example universal contact assembly includes plug contact members and a sensing contact member that are overmolded together to form a single unit. Example adapter block assembly include a first optical adapter; a first contact assembly disposed in an aperture defined in the first optical adapter; a first circuit board; and a retainer arrangement that holds the first circuit board to the first optical adapter with sufficient force to retain the first contact assembly within the aperture. Example retainer arrangements include a cover having flanges with tabs that deflect into cavities defined by the first optical adapter; clamp members that clamp a cover to the first optical adapter to hold the first circuit board therebetween; and a retention strip having barbs that attach to the first optical adapter and barbs that attach to the first printed circuit board.
Connector
A connector includes a connector housing including: a plurality of insertion holes; a plurality of connection terminals inserted into some of the plurality of insertion holes and configured to be electrically connected to a first set of a plurality of tab terminals of a sensor unit; and a joint terminal accommodated inside the connector housing. The joint terminal includes at least one grounding terminal part electrically connected to at least one of a second set of the plurality of tab terminals and a joint connection part electrically connected to a ground connection terminal, which is one of the plurality of connection terminals.
ELECTRONICS UNIT FOR MANAGED CONNECTIVITY, PATCH PANEL INCORPORATING THE SAME, METHODS OF INSTALLATION AND USE
An electronics units for providing intelligence to a patch panel includes spaced plug guides, a circuit board, and contacts with connection points that are movable relative to the circuit board in response to contact with a plug. The electronics unit can be used as part of a patch panel assembly and can be retrofittable into the patch panel.
TERMINAL, CONNECTOR AND CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
A terminal includes a tube portion 33, into which a mating terminal is inserted, and a resiliently deformable resilient piece 34 disposed in the tube portion 33. The resilient piece 34 includes an inner contact point 37 located inside the tube portion 33 to contact the mating terminal, and an outer contact point 40 located outside the tube portion 33 to contact a conductor different from the mating terminal.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR INCLUDING A MOVABLE TERMINAL HAVING FIRST AND SECOND BEAMS
An electrical connector includes: an insulative base; a fixed terminal secured to the insulative base; and a movable terminal including a securing portion fixed to the insulative base, a connecting portion, a contacting portion in touch with the fixed terminal, a first and a second beams at two opposite sides of the connecting portion, and a tail, wherein at least one of the first and second beams has a first portion substantially perpendicular to the connecting portion and a second portion substantially parallel to the connecting portion.
Safety socket to prevent electric shock
Provided is a safety socket, including a first conductive seat, a second conductive seat, a first terminal, a first insulator, a second terminal, a second insulator, a first conductive sheet and a second conductive sheet. The first conductive seat includes a first elastic body. The first elastic body includes a first elastic connecting portion and two first elastic pieces. Both ends of the first elastic connecting portion are respectively integrally formed with the bottom ends of the first elastic pieces. The second conductive seat includes a second elastic body and a second socket terminal. The second elastic body includes a second elastic connecting portion and two second elastic pieces. Both ends of the second elastic connecting portion are respectively integrally formed with the bottom ends of the first elastic pieces. The elastic body can be reset by its own elastic force without a spring.
Plug connector assembly
A plug connector assembly includes first and second plug connector parts. The first plug connector part is arranged on a printed circuit board (PCB) and includes first contact elements. The second plug connector part includes a base body and second contact elements held by the base body. The first and second contact elements are connected when the first and second plug connector parts are connected. Stamped/bent parts are positioned on respective sides of the first plug connector part and are connected to the PCB. When the plug connector parts are fully connected, an electrical connection is established between at least one stamped/bent part and a contact element of the second plug connector part, or alternatively, an electrical connection is established between the two stamped-bent parts. The electrical connections in each case are suitable for electronically recognizing and/or monitoring the connection of the plug connector parts.
Safety outlet
Disclosed herein is a safety outlet. The safety outlet includes a casing having at least one hole into which a pin of a plug is inserted; and at least one drain pipe forming a drain channel for independently communicating the at least one hole and the outside of the casing; wherein the drain channel provided in the at least one drain pipe each serves as drain passage separated from each other, and the drain pipe is partitioned so as to maintain sealing between inside of the casing and the drain channel, wherein a contact portion connected to a power terminal arranged outside of the at least one drain pipe is provided in the at least one drain pipe.
Modular initiator
A modular initiator assembly comprising a receptacle and connector combination adapted to shunt the electrical contacts of the initiator as a default condition and to only unshunt the electrical contacts coupled to the initiator when the receptacle and connector establish a fully seated connection.
