Electrical contact device with interlock
An electrical connector assembly includes a first electrical contact device and a second electrical contact device. The first electrical contact device includes at least one first electrical contact and an actuator movable between a first position and a second position. The second electrical contact device includes at least one second electrical contact device and an interlock feature to engage the actuator when the actuator is in the first position. The actuator is in the first position when the first electrical contact is in electrical communication with a power source, and the actuator is in the second position when the electrical communication between the first electrical contact and the power source is disconnected. When the actuator is in the first position and the second electrical contact engage the first electrical contact, the interlock feature engages the actuator, thereby securing the first electrical contact device and the second electrical contact device against disconnection.
Magnetic connector for a data communications cable
A magnetic connector has a plug core disposed around a plug contact set and a receptacle core disposed around a receptacle contact set. The plug core defines a generally elongated circular plug core edge. The receptacle core defines a generally elongated concentric-circular receptacle core edge. The receptacle core edge defines an air gap and the plug core defines an anchor configured to insert into the air gap. A coil is disposed around the receptacle core, and the coil, the plug core and the air gap define a magnetic circuit. The coil is electrically energized so as to form a magnetic field within an air gap, lock the anchor within the air gap and lock the plug contact set to the receptacle contact set accordingly.
Charging gun with magnetic element controlling magnetic switch
A charging gun includes a housing provided with a receiving cavity, a latching member movably assembled at a periphery of the housing, a circuit module mounted in the receiving cavity, and a waterproof and air-permeable assembly. The circuit module includes a magnetic switch. A mounting recess into which the latching member is mounted is provided at the periphery of the housing, and the latching member is rotatable about a rotation shaft in the mounting recess. The latching member is provided with a magnetic element, a state of the magnetic switch is controlled by a change of a relative distance between the magnetic element and the magnetic switch with rotation of the latching member. A mounting hole communicating with the receiving cavity is provided in a bottom surface of the mounting recess. The waterproof and air-permeable assembly is mounted in the mounting hole to discharge heat in the receiving cavity.
SAFETY OUTLET
Disclosed herein is a safety outlet. The safety outlet includes a casing having at least one hole into which a pin of a plug is inserted; and at least one drain pipe forming a drain channel for independently communicating the at least one hole and the outside of the casing; wherein the drain channel provided in the at least one drain pipe each serves as drain passage separated from each other, and the drain pipe is partitioned so as to maintain sealing between inside of the casing and the drain channel, wherein a contact portion connected to a power terminal arranged outside of the at least one drain pipe is provided in the at least one drain pipe.
Safety power connector
A safety power connector includes a male section that has contacts for carrying electric current, one or more magnets, and a protrusion. A female section has a receptacle for receiving the protrusion and contacts that mate with contacts of the male section. When the male section is absent, no hot electrical potential is present at the contacts of the female section, thereby reducing potential for an electric shock. When the male section aligns with the female section and the protrusion inserted into the centrally located receptacle of the female section causes closure of a switch in the female section and a magnetic field from the one or more magnets of the male section cause closure of a magnetically actuated switch caused, providing electrical potential to the contacts of the female section that are now in contact with the contacts of the male section.
CHARGING GUN
POWER CONNECTOR USING RESISTIVE SENSING
There is provided a power connector system for electrically connecting a power source to a device. The power connector comprises a first component and a second component which each have a plurality of electrical contacts disposed on a face thereof. The contacts each include an electrically resistive element having an impedance. When the first and second components are coupled, a logic unit controls enables current flow between the first and second components based on the impedances.
Magnetically activated power socket and plug combination
The system includes a magnetically actuated electrical power socket and a magnetic plug. The plug includes an insulating cylindrical plug body, a plurality of conductive ring contacts provided on the face of the cylindrical plug body, a permanent magnet disposed in the center of the plug body. The magnetically actuated electrical power socket includes an insulating fixed face, a corresponding plurality of fixed conductive contacts in the face, a movable cam lever disposed behind the face, a corresponding plurality of insulatively isolated transfer contacts disposed on a corresponding plurality of spring arms, which spring arms normally maintain the cam lever from the face, and a corresponding plurality of fixed conductive terminals extending from the rear of the socket module electrically coupled to the transfer contacts.
CONNECTING DEVICE AND CONTROL DEVICE
To detect abnormality of a connecting section and appropriately disconnect the connecting section, the present invention refers to the result of detection by a state detection section configured to detect the state of each of a plurality of terminals to detect the presence or absence of abnormality of each of the plurality of terminals, in a case where abnormality has been detected, the present invention switches the direction of electric current flowing through an electromagnet. This disconnects a first connecting section and a second connecting section from each other.
