Devices, systems, and methods for training pelvic floor muscles
The present invention relates to intravaginal devices, systems including the devices, and methods of using the devices to train an individual in the performance of exercises (e.g., pelvic floor lifts (PFLs) and pelvic floor relaxations (PFRs)) that strengthen the individual's pelvic floor muscles in order to treat or prevent pelvic floor disorders (e.g., pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence) and their accompanying symptoms.
Vaginal biomechanics analyzer
The present invention includes a device and method for measuring skin elasticity that comprises: a probe, wherein the probe comprises one or more holes, a vacuum source, a pressure sensor, and one or more proximity sensors aligned about the one or more holes; and a processor for recording the deformation of the skin using a control unit comprising a microcontroller connected to the proximity and the pressure sensors, wherein the proximity sensor and the processor is adapted to automatically initiate a test when the sensor is positioned at a pre-determined distance from the skin, wherein a vacuum in the probe is capable of pulling skin into the one or more holes and the proximity sensor is capable of measuring an amount of skin drawn into the one or more holes to determine an elasticity of the skin.
Vaginal biomechanics analyzer
The present invention includes a device and method for measuring skin elasticity that comprises: a probe with one or more holes, a vacuum source, a pressure sensor, and one or more infrared or optical proximity sensors aligned about the one or more holes, wherein the probe further comprises a raised area surrounding the one or more holes; and a processor for recording the deformation of the skin using a control unit comprising a microcontroller connected to the one or more infrared or optical proximity sensors and the one or more pressure sensors, to measure an amount of skin drawn into and out of the one or more holes to determine the distance between the one or more proximity sensors and the skin both inside and outside the probe.
DEVICE FOR MEASURING THE TEMPERATURE IN THE ANUS OR VAGINA OF AN ANIMAL
The invention relates to a device for measuring the temperature in the anus or in the vagina of an animal, wherein a front longitudinal part, an abutment part and a rear longitudinal part lie in succession on the device, wherein the front longitudinal part is equipped with a temperature sensor and, when used as intended, it is intended to be inserted into the anus or the vagina of the animal until the abutment part approximately rests against the outside of the body of the animal. One or more further temperature sensors are attached to the rear longitudinal part and/or to the abutment part, which, when used as intended, are provided for measuring the temperature in the surroundings of the animal.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR NON-INVASIVE ANALYSIS OF BODILY FLUIDS
A vaginal fluid monitoring device includes an absorbent layer, wherein the absorbent layer is configured to be in proximity to flow of vaginal fluid; an electrochemical detection system configured to obtain data regarding at least one analyte in a vaginal fluid, said electrochemical detection system in fluid communication with the absorbent layer; and wherein the vaginal fluid monitoring device is configured to be coupled with a feminine hygiene product.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MONITORING THE PELVIC FLOOR MUSCLES
A method of differentiating between a strain and a contraction of the pelvic floor muscles (PFM) of a subject includes receiving data generated by an orientation sensor provided within a vaginal probe device that is located within the vaginal canal of the subject and utilizing a processor to process data generated by the orientation sensor to determine a direction of rotation of the vaginal probe device during a measurement period. When the processor determines that the vaginal probe device has rotated in the cranial-ventral direction relative to the subject, an output is generated indicating that there has been a contraction of the PFM during the measurement period; and when the processor determines that the vaginal probe device has rotated in the caudal-dorsal direction relative to the subject, an output is generated indicating that there has been a strain of the PFM during the measurement period.
IMAGING PROBE ADAPTER
An imaging probe adapter for measuring the properties of a lumen like the vaginal canal, the rectum, or anal sphincter. The device has an adapter body with a proximal end and a distal end. The distal end of the adapter body may be formed into an insertion tip capable of easy insertion into the appropriate lumenal structure. An inflatable pressure chamber covers the distal end of the adapter body. A baseplate formed on the proximal end of the adapter body incorporates fluid channels for inflating the pressure chamber and a probe channel that receives an ultrasound probe or other suitable imaging probe. The device is used to measure and model lumenal biomechanical properties such as stiffness, compliance, elastic versus viscous contributions to overall stiffness, and total displacement.
Connectors and encasement for personal hygiene product with a digital element
A personal hygiene product with a digital element is described. In one embodiment, a conductive sensor assembly is disposed within the personal hygiene product that includes one or more moisture sensors that generate a resistive and/or capacitive signal indicative of saturation of the personal hygiene product when in wetting contact with menstrual fluid.
DEVICE, METHOD, AND SYSTEM FOR PELVIC FLOOR REHABILITATION
Systems, devices, and methods for a pelvic floor rehabilitation device are provided. A pelvic floor rehabilitation device includes a handle for holding the device, a shaft extending from the handle which can be inserted into a vagina and caused to expand at least in part, a controller which receives instructions to control operation of the device, and at least one sensor to collect data during operation of the device. The device may further include a transmitter to transmit the collected data to a computing device. The device may further include a lubrication system for lubricating the vagina and a temperature system for heating or cooling the vagina. The device may further include buttons by which a user can control the operation of the device.
