Estimating a surface texture of a tooth
Embodiments for estimating a surface texture of a tooth are described herein. One method embodiment includes collecting a sequence of images utilizing multiple light conditions using an intra-oral imaging device and estimating the surface texture of the tooth based on the sequence of images.
Deriving tooth condition information for populating digital dental charts
Disclosed are methods and digital tools for deriving tooth condition information for a patient's teeth, for populating a digital dental chart with derived tooth condition information, and for generating an electronic data record containing such information.
METHOD FOR ASSESSING ORAL HEALTH USING A MOBILE DEVICE
A method for remotely assessing oral health of a user of a mobile device by obtaining, using the mobile device (40), at least one digital image (1) of said user's (30) oral cavity (31) and additional non-image data (2) comprising anamnestic information about the user (30). The digital image (1) is processed both using a statistical object detection algorithm (20) to extract at least one local visual feature (3) corresponding to a medical finding related to a sub-region of said user's oral cavity (31); and also using a statistical image recognition algorithm (21) to extract at least one global classification label (4) corresponding to a medical finding related to said user's oral cavity (31) as a whole. An assessment (10) of the oral health of said user (30) is determined based on the local visual feature(s) (3), the global classification label(s) (4) and the non-image data (2).
Oral care system
An oral care implement including a handle and an oral care refill head. The handle has a gripping portion, an engagement component coupled to a distal end of the gripping portion, and a stem. The engagement component includes a plate portion and a first engagement feature. The stem extends through an opening in the engagement component and protrudes from the plate portion. The oral care refill head includes an oral care treatment portion and a sleeve portion. The sleeve portion has an inner surface that defines a sleeve cavity having a cavity axis and a second engagement feature. When the oral care refill head is detachably coupled to the handle, the first and second engagement features mate with one another to at least one of: (1) position the oral care refill head and the handle in an operational alignment; and (2) lock the oral care refill head to the handle.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GENERATING VIRTUAL MODEL
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for generating a virtual model. The apparatus according to the present disclosure comprises: a scanner that acquires a continuous 2D image within a measurement space; and a model generation unit for generating a three-dimensional virtual model by converting the image acquired from the scanner, wherein the model generation unit removes an area from the three-dimensional virtual model according to the reliability of data and generates a final model on the basis of the remaining area.
SECURELY MANAGING DIGITAL ASSISTANTS THAT ACCESS THIRD-PARTY APPLICATIONS
Systems herein allow a digital assistant to make requests to applications, such as third-party applications, that access data in an enterprise mobility management (“EMM”) system. The digital assistant can link to a portal application and receive a token that identifies a user. A remote application on a user device can establish a session with the portal application as part of a single sign on (“SSO”). The session can identify the same user. The portal application can then link the digital assistant to the remote application. When the digital assistant makes a request to the portal application, a notification can be pushed to the remote application. The user can confirm the request, establishing an authorized session during which time the digital assistant can make additional requests to the portal application. The portal application can service the requests by accessing third-party applications available through the portal application and authorized for access by the SSO.
MOUTHPIECE AND ATTACHMENT
A mouthpiece for attachment to an imaging device comprises a tubular body having a first end and a second end, both ends being open, and a band of flexible material attached to the first end of the body. The band comprises an opposing portion opposite the first end of the body. It may also comprise one or more adjacent portions, connected to the first end of the body and parallel to the opposing portion.
LIP AND CHEEK RETRACTOR, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OBTAINING AN IMAGE OF A DENTAL ARCH
A lip and cheek retractor for examining the oral cavity of a person, comprising: a U-shaped frame (1) comprising in its rear part on the right and on the left a support (8) and a mirror (3) being rotatable in the supports (8) of the frame (1)
Method For Exporting A Three-Dimensional Esthetic Dental Design Model From An Augmented Reality Application To A Computer-Aided Design Application
A method for exporting a three-dimensional dental design model based on a three-dimensional dental library model (4) from an augmented reality application (6) which is adapted to visualize an image of the dental library model (4) rendered by a virtual camera with a preliminary pose and scale in a photo (2) of a face of a patient taken by a camera under a viewing axis to the face of the patient, the photo (2) including a mouth opening showing at least part of the present situation of the patient's dentition.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GENERATING THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODEL THROUGH DATA MATCHING
A method for generating a three-dimensional model through data matching according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a maxillary scanning step of acquiring maxillary oral data including maxillary teeth by scanning the maxilla of a patient by using an oral scanner, a mandibular scanning step of acquiring mandibular oral data including mandibular teeth by scanning the mandible of the patient by using the oral scanner, an occlusion step of acquiring occlusal oral data in a state in which the maxillary teeth and the mandibular teeth are occluded, by using the oral scanner; a face scanning step of acquiring first facial data by scanning a face of the patient by using the oral scanner; and a matching step of matching the first facial data with at least one of the maxillary oral data, the mandibular oral data, and the occlusal oral data.
