Mask 10 includes thread elements connected to the elastic element of mask 10 enabling tensioning of the element to provide for fitment of mask 10 to users of different sizes, for optimal location sensors 12.
Walking support system, walking support method, and walking support program
A walking support system includes: an information output device (260); a motion detector (220) which detects a motion of a user; a foot landing position detector (230) which detect a foot landing position of the user; a determiner (240) which determines a recommended foot landing position which is a landing position of the feet suitable for stabilizing motions of a gait of the user on the basis of motions of a gait of the user detected by the motion detector, the foot landing position detected by the foot landing position detector, and dynamics; and an output controller (250) which outputs information indicating the recommended foot landing position determined by the determiner to the information output device.
Method and system for monitoring and providing beneficial visual and auditory stimulation for dementia patients
An on-person portable device and/or app that allows for constant location monitoring of dementia patients is disclosed. Such a device and/or app also includes automated communication of facial recognition of persons proximally near such a patient as well as possible generation of certain music in response to patient status and/or location. The patient is provided the device and/or app for handling or wearing, such as a phone or pair of glasses, in order to follow location through GPS monitoring, and a reactive program therein that automatically views another person and provides an identification thereof coupled with a voice modulator within an earpiece or like device for memory stimulation pertaining to loved ones or friends, and the like. The same program may also provide the music response to comments, movement, or any other external stimuli to the subject patient, again, to evoke a memory stimulus, as well.
Apparatus and method for diagnosing vertigo and balance related ailment
Disclosed is an apparatus for diagnosing vertigo and balance related ailment using Craniocorpography (CCG) technique. The apparatus includes a helmet adapted to be worn over a head of a patient. The helmet includes a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs). Further, the apparatus includes a camera placed directionally above at a vertical distance from the helmet while the helmet is being worn over the head of the patient. The camera is adapted to track movement of the patient when the CCG is performed on the patient. Furthermore, the apparatus includes an interface card adapted to connect the camera. The interface card is adapted to relay images captured by the camera. A computing system in communication with the interface card is also provided. The computing system is adapted to analyze and present at least a plurality of patient alignment parameters based on the images captured by the camera.
Smart relaxation mask
Aspects of the present disclosure provide a smart relaxation mask configured to output a stimulus and collect biometric information while the stimulus is output to determine if the subject is paying attention to the stimulus. If the subject is not focused on the stimulus, the mask adjusts at least one of an audio, visual, or haptic output. The stimulus is adjusted in an effort to shift the subject's attention to the stimulus and away from racing thoughts.
Communication devices, methods, and systems
Numerous aspects of communication devices, methods, and systems are described in this application. One aspect is an apparatus comprising a plurality of energy generators arrangeable on or adjacent skin. Each energy generator of the plurality of energy generators may be operable to output a plurality of different energy types in a signal direction toward the skin. The plurality of energy generators may be operable to communicate with nerves associated with the skin when arranged on or adjacent the skin by outputting an energy signal in the signal direction with one or more energy types of the plurality of different energy types.
WIRELESS MONITORING OF SAFETY HELMETS
Remote monitoring of a subject wearing a sports helmet is enabled. In one aspect, an example system includes a safety helmet and a sensor integrated with the helmet for continuously gathering head acceleration force data, the head acceleration force data associated with the head movements of a subject. The system can also include a wireless transceiver coupled to the sensor for transmitting the head acceleration force data and a mobile device for receiving the head acceleration force data from the wireless transceiver. The system can further include a database engine for displaying the head acceleration force data to a user.
WEARABLE DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING PHYSICAL BEHAVIOR OF A VEHICLE OPERATOR
A system uses a wearable electronic device to monitoring behavior of an operator of a vehicle. The wearable device is worn on the head of the operator of the vehicle and includes one or more motion sensors. A processor of the wearable device or of a proximate portable electronic device receives data from the one or more motion sensors and detects a pattern of motion based on the data. The system then may determine a physiological state or physical behavior of the driver based on the detected patterns or motion. Detected physiological states may include head bobs associated with sleepiness. Detected physical behaviors may include dangerous behaviors such as phone usage, prolonged gazes, sudden lane changes, or hard braking or steering.
BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR
Technologies are generally described for systems, devices and methods relating to blood pressure monitors. Blood pressure monitors may include a processor and a structure effective to be in communication with the processor. The structure may be effective to apply pressure to an object. Blood pressure monitors may include at least one photoreceptor effective to be in communication with the processor. Photoreceptors may be located in the device so as to be effective to detect light returned from the object while the pressure is applied. Blood pressure monitors may be effective to determine color values of the returned light, determine changes in the color values of the returned light, and determine a blood pressure based on the changes in the color values.
