PRESS FITTING FOR ELECTRICAL CONDUIT
A press fitting for an electrical conduit includes a fitting body and a press connector in a press-connection section of the fitting body to allow press-fit connection to a conduit. A conduit retainer in the press fitting releasably grips and removably retains the electrical conduit in the fitting body before the press-connection section is deformed radially inward during the press connection process. A socket in the press fitting has a cross-sectional diameter that tapers in a direction away from the press-connection section.
Push to Connect Electrical Connector with Integral Release
A conduit receiving port includes a base member configured to receive at least one conduit, a conduit gripping member configured to grip the at least one conduit and a conduit release member operable for selectively releasing the gripping member's grip on the at least one conduit.
Electrical fitting for non-metallic electrical cable
An electrical fitting to secure multiple non-metallic electrical cables has a body having a first end for insertion into an electrical panel box or to receive conduit, and a second end having an opening with apertures formed near a periphery thereof, the body having a hollow interior for passage of cables, and a cable securing device having a plate dimensioned to mount to the body and clamping devices, each having a pair of resilient clamp fingers to secure at least one cable, each finger having a terminating end adjacent the terminating end of the other finger, a pair of squeezable arms extending to facilitate cable insertion and removal, and a pair of anchoring fingers extending from the first surface of the plate, each anchoring finger having a protruding member to snap into one of the apertures so as to secure the cable securing device especially when the arms are squeezed.
Robust high voltage cable routing/mounting coupling
A cable assembly for a work machine, includes a cable and a collet. The cable includes an electrically conductive core, an insulating layer covering the core; an electrically conductive shield layer covering the insulating layer over a first length of the cable, and the insulating layer is exposed over a second length of the cable. The shield layer is folded back over a fold length, and the fold length includes two layers of the shield layer. The collet includes an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve extending over a portion of the inner sleeve at an end of the collet. The two shield layers of the fold length are arranged over the inner sleeve and under the outer sleeve, the insulating layer is arranged under the inner sleeve, and the second length of the cable extends through the inner sleeve.
Quick lock system for joining and aligning tubes, conduits and junction boxes
A connecting system for quickly securing a hollow tube to a structure or to another hollow tube using a connector that has a housing with a tapered interior edge that operably engages a locking element positioned therein. When the tube is inserted into the locking element, the locking element holds and locks the tube in place in the connector. A guide ring may be provided within the connector to facilitate proper alignment of the tube within the connector and provide excellent electrical conductivity throughout the entire tube connecting system. One or more bearings may be provided as part of the locking element to facilitate initial tube insertion and then compression locking of the tube by the locking element. The connector can include a variety of structure engaging portions to allow the connector to be operably secured to a variety of structures such as electrical junction boxes, electrical conduits, tubes, armored cables, metal clad cables, flexible metal cables and the like.
Electric device
An electrical device includes a housing, a retaining cap, and a sleeve. The housing has a cable port through which a cable is led into the housing. The retaining cap has a passage opening through which the cable is led through the retaining cap. The sleeve has a fixing section resting against a sheath of the cable and an annular face extending radially with respect to the cable. In an assembled state of the electrical device, the retaining cap is joined to the sleeve and fixes the sleeve to the cable port with the passage opening of the retaining cap engaging over the fixing section of the sleeve and an edge surface of the passage opening pressing the fixing section against the sheath of the cable. Further in the assembled state, the retaining cap and the cable port may be connected to one another by a bayonet connector.
Universal bushing
A universal bushing is described herein. The universal bushing can include a base member and a first bushing member. The base member can include at least one outer portion and at least one inner wall that forms a first cavity, where the at least one inner wall has a perimeter that is substantially uniform along a first height of the at least one inner wall. The first bushing member can be removeably coupled to the base member and disposed within the first cavity, where the first bushing member includes at least one first wall having a first inner surface that forms a second cavity and a first outer surface, where the at least one first wall has a first inner perimeter that is substantially uniform along a second height of the at least one first wall, and where the first outer surface forms a first outer perimeter.
Press fitting for electrical conduit
A method of securing an electrical conduit in an electrical conduit fitting including releasably gripping and removably retaining the electrical conduit in the electrical conduit fitting with a conduit retainer disposed in a passage of the electrical conduit fitting prior to press connecting the electrical conduit fitting to the electrical conduit to fixedly attach the electrical conduit fitting to the electrical conduit.
