Mounting Bracket
A mounting bracket is provided for an electrical device that can be configured for use with a support that has a first and a second rail. The mounting bracket can include a mounting body with a mounting face configured to secure the electrical device to the mounting bracket between the first and second rails when the mounting bracket is secured to the support. The mounting bracket can include a first attachment device connected to the mounting body and a second attachment device connected to the mounting body opposite the first attachment device. Each of the first and second attachment devices can include a first arm configured to engage with a first side of the corresponding first or second rail, and a second arm configured to engage with a second side of the corresponding rail, opposite the first arm.
ADJUSTABLE ELECTRIC BOX AND BRACKET COMBINATION
Electric boxes and hanging brackets and more particularly adjustable electric boxes with parallel rails for connection with reciprocal parallel grooves in a hanging bracket that is configured to connect to a support, for example, a wall stud.
Modular Junction Boxes
Modular junction boxes in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment, a junction box for convenient modular industrial wiring is provided comprising a plurality of walls defining a first internal space of the junction box and at least one open face, a first connection area located on a first external face of the junction box comprising a first opening for receiving at least three electrical wires, a bus bar stack located in the first internal space of the junction box, a removable junction device comprising at least one contact support being mechanically and electrically attachable to the bus bar stack, and wherein when the junction device is attached to the bus bar stack, the junction device is electrically connected through the at least one contact support to one of at least three input openings of the bus bar stack.
Apparatus for different sized boxes
An electrical box for accommodating at least one duplex electrical outlet including a first side, a second side having a mount opening therein. The electrical box also includes a mounting tube. The mounting tube is mountable to the mount opening. The mounting tube further includes first tubular member having a first length, and a second member fittable within the first tubular member. The second member further includes a tubular main body including a tubular portion fittable within the first tubular member, and a first end including a stop. The first end and stop engage the mount opening in the second side.
Quick connect
An electrical connection assembly includes an electrical box including a housing having an internal surface defining an internal volume of the housing. An electrical connector is positioned outside the internal volume of the housing and fixed to the housing with a fastener. The housing includes an aperture having an opening defining an insertion path extending from a location external to the housing along a frame of the electrical connector to a location within the internal volume of the housing. The assembly includes a disc mechanically secured to the housing relative to the opening to obstruct the insertion path. A retainer and a bushing including a membrane for the electrical connector as well as methods of making an electrical connector are also provided.
Adjustable Depth Electrical Wall Mount Ring
An adjustable depth electrical wall mount ring can include a base ring and a finishing ring. The base ring can be configured to be attached to a junction box. The finishing ring can be configured to be adjusted relative to a ring portion of the base ring to extend away from the junction box through a wall layer. Adjusting the finishing ring can cause one or more outward extensions on the finishing ring to bear on an exterior surface of a wall layer and thereby urge the junction box towards the wall layer.
Junction box interface chassis and pluggable modular devices
Various components and subcomponents of a pluggable modular system for electrical junction boxes are described herein. In various embodiments, a jbox interface chassis is configured to be wired and fastened within an electrical junction box to provide a hot-swappable pluggable interface between the wires in the electrical junction box and each of a plurality of hot-swappable pluggable modular devices. The jbox interface chassis may include a front pluggable interface configured to electrically mate with a corresponding rear pluggable interface on a casing of each pluggable modular device. As an example, the jbox interface chassis may include a plurality of slots or holes to receive a corresponding plurality of blades or pins on the casing of each pluggable modular device. Additionally, device adapters are described herein to convert a wide variety of legacy electrical devices into pluggable modular devices.
COVER PLATE FOR ELECTRICAL BOXES
A cover plate that is connectable to an electrical box includes a body configured to mount to a stud, a brace assembly, in a gang application, or, when the cover plate is a first cover plate and the body is a first body that is mounted to a first side of the stud, a second body of a second cover plate can overlap a portion of the first body to be mounted to a second side of the stud at the same time that the first body of the first cover plate is mounted to the first side of the stud.
Apparatus for Producing Different Sized Boxes
The present invention provides a base electrical box, and an end portion. The end portion is added to the base electrical box to substantially complete the electrical box. The electrical box also includes at least one intermediate portion that is added to complete the electrical box. The at least one intermediate portion is placed between the base electric box and the end portion.
Bracket for electrical devices
A bracket for supporting at least one electrical device includes a first portion including a flange oriented in a first plane and at least one second portion including a leg oriented in a second plane substantially parallel to and offset from the first plane. Each second portion is configured to be coupled to the at least one electrical device.
