Support structure for cable and cable accessory condition monitoring devices
Devices are described that support, house, and protect an electrical cable monitoring system that is electrically coupled to an electrical cable. An example support structure includes an elongate body including an interior surface extending along and concentric to an axis of the electrical cable. The body is configured to engage a cable accessory disposed on the electrical cable. The support structure includes a first electrode attached to the interior surface and configured to operatively couple to the cable accessory. The support structure includes a second electrode attached to the body and configured to operatively couple to the shielding layer. The support structure includes a monitoring device attached to the interior surface and operatively coupled to the first and second electrodes. The monitoring device is configured to monitor one or more conditions of the electrical cable or the cable accessory.
DEVICE WITH HEALTH MONITORING
A device, such as a link box, with health monitoring has a housing defining an interior space, at least one surge arrester positioned in the interior space, at least one contactless temperature sensor positioned to contactlessly measure a temperature of the at least one surge arrester and generate temperature data therefrom, and at least one controller connected to the at least one contactless temperature sensor and configured to receive the temperature data.
SHEATH-BONDING LINK BOX
A sheath-bonding link box is provided, the sheath-bonding link box including a housing defining a sealed interior space, and a set of electrically conductive connectors extending through the housing between an exterior of the enclosure and the interior space. The set of connectors each has an internal portion positioned inside of the interior space and an external portion positioned outside of the housing. The internal portion of the connectors is electrically connectable to a functional link in the interior space, and the external portion of the connectors is dimensioned to be electrically connectable to a sheath-bonding lead.

Pipeline electric heating system
A pipeline electric heating system for a transport pipeline comprising a pipe and thermal insulation therearound, comprising a power supply transformer, a feed terminal, an end terminal, one or more service terminals positioned between the feed and end terminals, a parameter control and monitoring system, and a heating cable arrangement including three heating resistive cables connected to three phases of a three-phase power electrical supply extending along the pipe from the feed terminal to the end terminal passing through the one or more service terminals. Each said resistive cable is mounted individually within a corresponding cable guide, the cable guides and associated resistive cables mounted therein being mounted on an outer surface of the pipe and below the thermal insulation. Each resistive cable comprises an inner conductor and a shield surrounding the inner conductor, wherein the shields of each resistive cable are connected to ground and are interconnected together at the end terminal and/or at the feed terminal, and wherein the shields or inner conductors are transposed at said at least one service terminal.
Sheath-Bonding Link Box
A sheath-bonding link box includes a housing forming an enclosure defining an interior space. A plurality of electrically conductive connectors extend through the housing between an exterior of the enclosure and the interior space. The plurality of connectors each have an internal connecting portion positioned inside of the interior space and an external portion positioned outside of the enclosure. The internal connecting portion is electrically connectable to a functional link in the interior space. The external portion is dimensioned to be electrically connectable to a sheath-bonding lead. The internal connecting portions of the electrically conductive connectors and the functional links are mounted to at least one electrically insulating carrier unit. The carrier unit includes a plurality of receptacles, with each receptacle adapted to at least partly receive one of the functional links in an orientation along a longitudinal axis of the internal connecting portion of each connector.
HVAC cable grounding systems and methods
The present disclosure relates to a communication cable for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system having a set of conductors extending between a first end of the communication cable and a second end of the communication cable, and a cable shield surrounding the plurality of conductors. The cable shield has a first shield connector at the first end of the communication cable and a second shield connector at the second end of the communication cable. The first end is configured to couple to a first controller of the HVAC system, the second end is configured to couple to a second controller of the HVAC system, and the cable shield is configured to electrically couple to a single electrical ground point via one or both of the first and second shield connectors.
