A stator of an electric motor comprises a pole chain, which is made of a stack of a plurality of straight transformer sheets and rounded to a circular configuration by bending the stacked transformer sheets, wherein the pole chain has a plurality of pole portions each comprising a pole tooth; a plurality of winding cores attached to the respective pole teeth for accommodating coils of a three-phase winding comprising wires; wherein the wires of respective phases of the three-phase winding are routed spatially separated from each other and without mutual contact at an axial end surface of the pole chain between and along adjacent winding cores around the pole chain; and wherein the wires are supported and guided such that their positions relative to the pole chain are substantially maintained when the pole chain is rounded from its straight configuration to its circular configuration.

The coil includes a terminal inner coil having a terminal line which is drawn from the radially inner side to the one axial side. The insulator covers the tooth that are circumferentially adjacent to the tooth around which the terminal inner coil is wound. The insulator has a restriction portion so as to restrict the movement of the terminal line of the terminal inner coil.

Compared with the prior art, the present invention has the advantages of reducing axial magnetic flux leakage of a motor and improving the moment of the motor.

In some examples, a connecting ring may connect to a stator coil. The connecting ring may include at least one linear conductor integrally formed in a ring-like shape. Further, the connecting ring may include a terminal section integrally formed in the linear conductor, the terminal section including a hole configured to receive a wire end of the stator coil inserted into the hole in an insertion direction. In addition, the connecting ring may include a cylindrical protrusion having an opening in communication with the hole. The cylindrical protrusion may protrude away from the hole in the insertion direction. Additionally, the connecting ring may include bends for raising a first portion of the connecting ring including the terminal section in the insertion direction relative to a second portion of the connecting ring. An insulating member may cover the second portion of the connecting ring.
