Portable brain and vision diagnostic and therapeutic system

A portable wireless neuromonitoring device can be used to diagnose and/or treat conditions of the brain and vision system. The device includes a sensor unit mountable on the head of a human subject and capable of recording signals from the brain in EEG and/or EFEG (electric field encephalography) mode, and the device can be used for simultaneous stimulus display and recording with latency of less than 1 millisecond. The device also includes electrodes that allow rapid set-up and measurement with low impedance contact with the scalp. The device can also be used in conjunction with virtual reality or alternate reality environments.

Hemostasis apparatus and method

The apparatus and method for hemostasis that informs the provider as to whether the appropriate magnitude of pressure is being applied to a puncture site on a patient. A visual pulse indicator can visually convey whether or not there is proper blood flow at the puncture site based on the pulsing motion encountered by the visual pulse indicator on the puncture site. The visual pulse indicator can potentially factor in a variety of different input parameters in displaying information that is useful to providers.

To provide an electrocardiographic measurement apparatus that can prevent a variety of subjects from having discomfort when the apparatus is attached to the subjects. The electrocardiographic measurement apparatus includes: a plurality of electrodes that has a length along a circumferential direction of an upper arm, the length being variable in accordance with a length in the circumferential direction of the upper arm, and detects an electric potential from the upper arm that is brought into contact with the electrodes; and a device body that generates electrocardiographic information based on the electric potential detected by the plurality of electrodes.

BELT AND ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHIC MEASUREMENT DEVICE

A belt used in an electrocardiographic measurement apparatus includes a belt body to be wrapped around a living body, three or more base electrodes disposed in a longitudinal direction of the belt body, and two or more cap electrodes detachable and attachable to the base electrodes and smaller in number than the number of base electrodes.

Blood pressure monitor attachment assembly

A blood pressure monitor configured to removably mount to a cuff in a substantially symmetrical position with respect to a width of the cuff can include a housing defining an interior, a first port, and a second port. The first port can: secure to a first prong of the cuff when the cuff is mounted in a first orientation; receive and secure to a second prong of the cuff when the cuff is mounted in a second orientation; and enable fluid communication between the interior and at least one of a first fluid passage within the first prong and a second fluid passage within the second prong. The second port can: secure to the second prong of the cuff when the cuff is mounted in the first orientation; and receive and secure to the first prong of the cuff when the cuff is mounted in the second orientation.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR ASSESSING PULMONARY STATUS USING OPTICAL OXYGENATION SENSING
20230017684 · 2023-01-19 ·

Embodiments herein relate to devices and methods for assessing pulmonary status using optical oxygenation sensing. In an embodiment, an oxygenation monitoring device can be included having a first optical emitter, wherein the first optical emitter can be configured to emit light at a first wavelength from 100 nanometers (nm) to 2000 nm. The oxygenation monitoring device and further include a first optical detector, wherein the first optical detector can be configured to detect incident light. The device can be configured so that emitted light from the first optical emitter propagates through a lung tissue and detected incident light can be used to determine an oxygenation status of the lung tissue. Other embodiments are also included herein.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING BIOLOGICAL STRUCTURES ASSOCIATED WITH NEUROMUSCULAR SOURCE SIGNALS

A system comprising a plurality of neuromuscular sensors, each of which is configured to record a time-series of neuromuscular signals from a surface of a user's body; and at least one computer hardware processor programmed to perform: applying a source separation technique to the time series of neuromuscular signals recorded by the plurality of neuromuscular sensors to obtain a plurality of neuromuscular source signals and corresponding mixing information; providing features, obtained from the plurality of neuromuscular source signals and/or the corresponding mixing information, as input to a trained statistical classifier and obtaining corresponding output; and identifying, based on the output of the trained statistical classifier, and for each of one or more of the plurality of neuromuscular source signals, an associated set of one or more biological structures.

System and method for through window personal cloud transmission

A radio frequency (RF) front end device has a signal traveling from a first antenna to a second antenna in an uplink path and a signal traveling from a third antenna to a fourth antenna in a downlink path. The device is under the control of automatic on/off controller (AOOC) which upon receiving a signal indication from a receive signal detector and amplifier (RSDA) turns on the operations of power amplifier (PA) and simultaneously turns off a low noise amplifier (LNA). This LNA is turned off when the power amplifier is turned on to prevent uplink path and downlink path forming a feedback loop which would result in oscillation, noise and interference.
