Photoacoustic image generation apparatus and operation method of photoacoustic image generation apparatus
In a photoacoustic image generation apparatus and an operation method of the photoacoustic image generation apparatus, all positions of an insert during puncture can be accurately grasped on an image after an examination. A photoacoustic image generation apparatus includes a photoacoustic image generation unit that generates a photoacoustic image based on a detection signal acquired by detecting a photoacoustic wave emitted from a tip portion of an insert inserted into a subject using acoustic wave detection means, and a control unit that causes a storage unit to store position information of the tip portion of a puncture needle on the photoacoustic image in response to a predetermined trigger during a step of collecting a cell of the subject at the tip portion of the puncture needle in cytology.
Device and Method for Needle/Catheter Location Utilizing Correlation Analysis
An apparatus and method to enable clinicians to verify needle or catheter location within an anatomic site by relying upon combined sensing of two signals, such as a pressure signal and a heart rate pulse signal, in which the detection of a correlation between both signals is identified to confirm location of the needle or catheter.
VEIN SIMULATOR SYSTEM
A vein simulator system can be used by clinicians to improve their proficiency in placing catheters such as PIVCs or in otherwise accessing a vasculature. A vein simulator system can include a simulated portion of a body, such as a simulated human arm, that includes at least one simulated vein. The vein simulator system can also include a control system, one or more sensors and one or more feedback components. The control system can leverage the one or more sensors to generate feedback during a clinician's attempt to place a catheter and can output the feedback via the feedback components, either during or after the attempt.
Tubular sensor for the detection of an analyte
An implantable sensor can be used for determining a concentration of at least one analyte in a medium, particularly in a body tissue and/or a body fluid. The implantable sensor can comprise a flexible, tubular sensor element. This sensor element has a tubular body on which at least two electrode rings are mounted for electrochemical determination of the concentration of the analyte.
Photoacoustic image generating device and insertion object
Even when an insertion object is inserted to a deep position of a subject or even when the insertion object is inserted into the subject at an angle close to a right angle, it is possible to confirm the position of the insertion object in a photoacoustic image. The insertion object is, for example, a hollow puncture needle 15 that includes an opening at a tip thereof. The puncture needle 15 includes a light guide member 152 that guides light emitted from a first light source to the vicinity of the opening, and a light emitting portion 153 that is provided in the vicinity of the opening and emits the light. First photoacoustic waves, which are caused by the light emitted from the light emitting portion 153, are generated in the puncture needle 15. A first photoacoustic image is generated on the basis of the first photoacoustic waves.
Apparatus for effective ablation and nerve sensing associated with denervation
An intravascular catheter for nerve activity ablation and/or sensing includes one or more needles advanced through supported guide tubes (needle guiding elements) which expand to contact the interior surface of the wall of the renal artery or other vessel of a human body allowing the needles to be advanced though the vessel wall into the extra-luminal tissue including the media, adventitia and periadvential space. The catheter also includes structures which provide radial and lateral support to the guide tubes so that the guide tubes open uniformly and maintain their position against the interior surface of the vessel wall as the sharpened needles are advanced to penetrate into the vessel wall. Electrodes at the distal ends of the guide tubes allow sensing of nerve activity before and after attempted renal denervation. In a combination embodiment ablative energy or fluid is delivered to ablate nerves outside of the media.
Systems and methods for measuring needle depth
Systems and methods are provided for measuring depth, position, and/or angle of a cannula in a medical drug delivery device. In particular, a drug delivery device having a cannula is positioned adjacent to tissue, a voltage pulse is provided to the cannula, a charge is measured at an electrode in the drug delivery device, and the depth of penetration of the cannula is determined based in part on the charge at the first electrode. Systems and methods described herein can be used to determine subcutaneous insertion depth in a wearable bolus injector. In some implementations, insertion depth determination is achieved through capacitive sensors which measure needle depth in a drug delivery device.
Photoacoustic image generation apparatus
A photoacoustic image generation apparatus includes: a puncture needle that generates photoacoustic waves; an ultrasound probe that detects the photoacoustic waves and reflected ultrasonic waves reflected by the transmission of ultrasonic waves; a processor that generates a color Doppler signal of a region of interest as a color Doppler measurement target, generates a photoacoustic image on the basis of the photoacoustic waves, and detects the position of a tip portion of the puncture needle on the basis of the photoacoustic image; and a controller that sets the region of interest such that the position of the tip portion of the puncture needle and a center position of the region of interest are separated from each other by a predetermined distance and sets the region of interest, following the movement of the tip portion of the puncture needle, in a state in which the distance is maintained.
Acoustic wave device and control method of acoustic wave device
An acoustic wave device includes an insertion object having a photoacoustic wave generator, a light source that irradiates the photoacoustic wave generator with light, an insertion object image signal generator that generates an insertion object image signal from a photoacoustic wave reception signal from the photoacoustic wave generator, and an insertion object display image signal generator that generates an insertion object display image signal having a center at a peak position where a signal strength of the insertion object image signal becomes a peak value, having a maximum width corresponding to a predetermined reference signal width, and having a signal strength corresponding to the peak value at the center.
PHOTOACOUSTIC IMAGE GENERATING DEVICE AND INSERTION OBJECT

A first photoacoustic image is generated on the basis of the first photoacoustic waves.
