IMPLANTABLE ACCESS CHAMBER AND ASSOCIATED METHODS OF USE
20200367792 · 2020-11-26 ·

Sampling or removing interstitial fluid of a subject using an implantable access chamber and associated methods of use. An implantable access chamber can be configured to be inserted into tissue of a subject. The implantable access chamber can comprise a sensor arranged therein, wherein the sensor is configured to sense at least one analyte of interstitial fluid of the subject. The implantable access chamber can include a barrier portion defining a cavity. The barrier portion may be a material permeable to the interstitial fluid and occlusive to cells of the subject.

IMPLANTABLE APPARATUS FOR SENSING BIOLOGIC SIGNALS
20200352513 · 2020-11-12 ·

An implantable apparatus for physiological measurement in a host organism has an implantable sample chamber having a measurement port and live cells that are treated to fluoresce in response to light having an excitation wavelength. An optical sensor housing implanted within the host organism has a window to convey excitation light output and receive fluorescent light; a coupling that couples the measurement port of the sample chamber to the window; an optical chamber partitioned into an excitation sub-chamber and a detection sub-chamber, wherein both sub-chambers are in optical communication with the window; an excitation source energizable to direct excitation light through the excitation sub-chamber and to the window; and a detector in the path of fluorescent light received from the live cells. A signal processing apparatus is energizable to acquire and process a detector signal and to transmit a processed signal that is indicative of fluorescent light energy.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR WOUND MONITORING

A wound monitoring system including a sensor for detecting color and flow rate of a fluid flowing through a wound drain tubing, a base station for receiving color and flow rate data from the sensor over the one or more networks, for storing the data, and for sending notifications over the one or more networks, and a user device for receiving the notification over the one or more networks. Also disclosed is a wound monitoring system that includes the sensor, the base station, a cloud server, and the user device. The base station receives the data from the sensor and transmits the data over one or more networks to the cloud server. Further disclosed is a wound drain monitoring method that employs the wound monitoring system.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR VASCULAR NAVIGATION, ASSESSMENT AND/OR DIAGNOSIS

Devices and methods for vascular navigation, assessment and/or diagnosis are disclosed where a location detection system generally includes an elongate body defining a lumen at least partially along a length of the elongate body. One or more sensors are positioned near or at a distal tip of the elongate body and one or more openings are defined along the elongate body in proximity to the one or more sensors. The one or more openings are configured to control a boundary distance between the one or more sensors and a fluid with a parameter of a known initial value when emitted from the one or more openings. A controller is in communication with the one or more sensors and is configured to track a change in the parameter relating to concentration over the one or more sensors and determine a position of the one or more sensors within a body.
