Systems and methods for determining fine grain motions and vibrations of live and/or inanimate objects are described based on using a radar system. For example, biometric information may be extracted from such vibrations associated with a live object. In different embodiments, processing circuitry may perform different statistical analysis on reflections from the objects. Moreover, the processing circuitry may perform different processing functions based on the statistical analysis to determine the vibrations with high accuracy. Furthermore, the processing circuitry may also select one or multiple target maps based on a field of view of the radar system for a more robust measurement of the vibrations associated with one or multiple objects.

ACOUSTIC ANALYSIS OF A RESPIRATORY THERAPY SYSTEM

Method and apparatus obtain information about a patient and/or a respiratory therapy system that is configured to deliver respiratory therapy to the patient. The respiratory therapy system may include a flow generator configured to generate a supply of pressurized air along an air circuit to a patient interface. A sound signal representing a sound in the air circuit may be processed to obtain cepstrum data. A time series of delay estimates based on acoustic signatures of the cepstrum data may be generated. Each acoustic signature may represent a reflection of sound from a patient interface along the air circuit. Variation in the time series of delay estimates may be analysed. One or more output indicators based on the variation may be generated. The one or more output indicators may concern patient and/or system status.

System for determining peripheral artery disease and method of use

A system for determining peripheral artery disease and method of use for determining the presence or absence of peripheral vascular disease and the severity of the disease in particular vascular segments. The System for determining peripheral artery disease and method of use includes a continuous wave Doppler transceiver which generates a digitized version of quadrature detected stereo audio and is coupleable to a waveform converter and processor. The waveform converter and processor provides filtering, time domain to frequency domain conversion, gain control, and statistical processing of the converted Doppler Stereo audio and is operationally coupled to a display for presenting results to a technician.

System and method of pain relief based on analysis of temporal nociceptive signals

An apparatus, system and technique selectively eliminates the noxious signal components in a neuronal signal by creating an interfering electrical signal that is tuned to a given frequency corresponding to the oscillatory pattern of the noxious signal, resulting in a modified neuronal signal that substantially reproduces a normal, no-pain neuronal signal. The disclosed system and technique of pain relief is based on the hypothesis that the temporal profile of pain signals encodes particular components that oscillate at unique and quantifiable frequencies, which are responsible for pain processing in the brain.
