SHARED REACTIONS WITHIN A VIDEO COMMUNICATION SESSION
20220353220 · 2022-11-03 ·

Methods and systems provide for the ability to display reactions within a video communication session. First, the system displays, for each of a number of participants within a video communication session, a user interface (UI), with the UI including a reactions session with a variety of selectable visual reactions, a number of participant windows corresponding to participants, and videos of at least a subset of the participants which are displayed within the participant windows. The system receives a selection of a reaction via a video client device connected to the video communication session, where the client device is associated with one of the participants. The system then displays the selected reaction within the UI of at least one of the participants within the corresponding participant windows for a predetermined period of time. Aggregate reactions may be displayed when a number of participants select the same reaction.

TEXT COMMAND BASED GROUP LISTENING SESSION PLAYBACK CONTROL

A method of providing a group listening session to users of a messaging platform includes: receiving, at a media streaming platform, a message feed from the messaging platform; parsing, at the media streaming platform, the message feed to identify one or more commands included in the message feed, wherein the one or more commands are associated with the group listening session provided by the media streaming platform; and controlling the group listening session according to the one or more commands, each of the users being associated with a media device for participating in the group listening session.

A server and computer implemented method for sharing physical writing actions, the method comprising the steps of: detecting, at each of a plurality of computing devices associated with a meeting, one or more physical writing actions being performed on physical writing surfaces; generating writing signals based on the physical writing actions; transmitting the generated writing signals to a server; forwarding, via the server, the writing signals for receipt at the plurality of computing devices associated with the meeting; and each computing device outputting a representation of the physical writing actions.

CONCURRENT SCREEN SHARING BY MULTIPLE USERS WITHIN A COMMUNICATION SESSION
20230034668 · 2023-02-02 ·

Methods and systems relate to a method for providing concurrent sharing of screen elements by multiple users within a communication session. First, a system connects multiple participants of a communication session. The system receives, from a first participant, a request to initiate sharing of one or more screen elements from a user device associated with the first participant. In response to the request, the system captures and displays the one or more screen elements from the user device of the first participant to the communication interfaces of the other participants. The system then receives, from one or more additional participants of the communication session, additional requests to initiate sharing of one or more additional screen elements. In response, the system captures and displays the additional screen elements of the additional participants to the communication interfaces of the other participants, such that multiple screen elements from multiple users are displayed concurrently.

Conference Event Alerting Based on Participant Focus
20230032769 · 2023-02-02 ·

A conference participant is alerted as to an event during a conference responsive to a determination that a focus of the conference participant is other than on the conference. During the conference, an event associated with the conference participant is detected based on a real-time transcription of the conference. For example, the event may relate to a topic relevant to the conference participant or a request associated with a name of the conference participant. A determination is made that a focus of the conference participant is other than on the conference based on information associated with a device of the conference participant, such as input received from a camera associated with the device or a setting of an audio output device associated with the device. Based on that determination and the detected event, output is presented to alert the conference participant as to the event.

Information processing method and information processing system

An information processing system and a method for operating same are provided. The information processing system includes a first information processing apparatus and a second information processing apparatus. The first information processing apparatus is configured to display a first synchronous image in a first window, the first window having an operation right. The second information processing apparatus has a synchronous state or an asynchronous state. The second information processing apparatus is configured to: display a second synchronous image; in response to a first request, switch from the synchronous state to the asynchronous state; and in response to a second request, switch from the asynchronous state to the synchronous state.

Bridging physical and virtual spaces

Examples of systems and methods for bridging virtual and physical spaces are described. In some of these examples, a particular communicant's real world state drives changes in one or more of the communications connections, virtual state, and communications interface of the particular communicant or another communicant.

COMPLIANCE AUDITING FOR ENCRYPTED VIDEO CONFERENCES

One example method includes receiving, by a compliance auditing server, an indication of an encrypted video conference; sending, by the compliance auditing server, a request to a video conference provider to join a compliance auditing participant to the encrypted video conference, wherein the video conference provider does not have access to the compliance auditing server; receiving and storing, by the compliance auditing server, encrypted streams of audio and video from a plurality of participants in the video conference, wherein: the compliance auditing participant is one of the plurality of participants; and the video conference provider does not have access to the cryptographic meeting key; receiving, by the compliance auditing server after the encrypted video conference has ended, a request for a portion of the encrypted streams of audio and video; and providing, in response to the request, the portion of the encrypted streams of audio and video.

Intelligent audio system using multiple sensor modalities

Embodiments include an audio system comprising an audio device, a speaker, and a processor. The audio system is configured to receive data from one or more sensors corresponding to persons in a room and/or characteristics of a room, and responsively take action to modify one or more characteristics of the audio system, share the information with other systems or devices, and track data over time to determine patterns and trends in the data.

TELECONFERENCE METHOD AND TELECONFERENCE SYSTEM

The first generating acquires voice of at least three participants attending a teleconference for each of individual conference terminals of the participants and generates voice data including volume information from the acquired voice. The second generating acquires video of the participants during the teleconference for each conference terminal and generates video data. The displaying displays seating information indicating seating for the participants in a virtual space for each of the conference terminals of the participants. The determining determines a destination of the voice data of the participants for each of the conference terminals of the participants in accordance with the volume information of the voice data and the video data of the participant as well as the seating information. The transmitting transmits the voice data of the participants from the conference terminals of the participants in accordance with the destination determined for the voice data of the participants.
