Methods and systems provide for providing intelligent topic segmentation within a communication session. In one embodiment, the system connects to a communication session with a number of participants; receives a transcript of a conversation between the participants produced during the communication session, the transcript including timestamps for a number of utterances associated with speaking participants; shifts a window over the utterances to generate blocks of utterances; for each shift of the window over one utterance, identifies topic model (“TM”) clusters (hereinafter “TM clusters”) and generates TM cluster scores to assign text labels for each cluster; aggregates the scores for the TM clusters to generate a number of utterance level scores; converts the utterance level scores into topic segments each including a start time, end time, and associated text label; and transmits, to one or more client devices, a list of the topic segments for the communication session.

A system may receive, during a virtual meeting, a plurality of messages each indicative of a question. The message comprises content descriptive of the question and metadata. For example, the metadata may comprise data identifying an image corresponding to the message. The system may group the plurality of messages into one or more groups, individual messages within the groups having a context in common with one another, by analyzing text and metadata of the message. The system may send data about at least one group to a first client device for output of the questions indicated by the messages of that group on the first client device.

In various embodiments, a meeting narration application generates visualizations of recorded meeting data. The meeting narration application generates a first visualization of a set of parameters based on a set of transcript sentences associated with the recorded meeting data. The meeting narration application displays the first visualization and a first expanded content visualization of a first transcript sentence included in the set of transcript sentences within a graphical user interface (GUI). Subsequently, the meeting narration application receives a user event associated with the first visualization via the GUI. The meeting narration application modifies a first parameter selection associated with the set of parameters based on the user event to generate a modified parameter selection. Based on the modified parameter selection, the meeting narration application displays a first compressed content visualization of the first transcript sentence within the GUI.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products for sharing a shared interface and allowing participants to annotate the shared interface within a group-based communication system. A shared interface is shared by an interface sharing device to participating devices, which can then individually annotate the shared interface by creating interface annotations that then are shared on the shared interface by the interface sharing device. Such methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products provide for an efficient and effective method of advancing discussions among a group in a group-based communication system.

The processor may be further configured to establish a video conference having a plurality of participants, receive, from a first client device, a request for a sidebar meeting, and transmit to the first client device a first set of audio and video streams corresponding to a main meeting, and a second set of audio and video streams corresponding to the sidebar meeting. The processor-executable instructions may further cause the processor to identify, by a sidebar assistant, one or more keywords in an audio stream corresponding to the sidebar meeting and generate, by the sidebar assistant, a note based on the identified keywords.
