INTELLIGENT SYSTEM TO PRIORITIZE SERVERS FOR ENVISAGED REQUESTS

A workload manager uses on-band and off-band metrics to select a host server in a cluster to handle a connection request. The on-band metrics include CPU usage, memory usage, and vulnerability metrics. The off-band metrics include hardware component error logs. Utilization and vulnerability scores are calculated for each host server from the on-band metrics. A reliability score is calculated for each host server from the off-band metrics. A health score for each host server is calculated from the vulnerability and reliability scores. The health score is used to exclude unhealthy host servers from consideration. A priority score is calculated for each host server from the utilization, vulnerability, and reliability scores. The host server that has not been excluded and has the greatest priority score is selected to handle the connection request.

Monitoring resource consumption for distributed services

A method for monitoring several data compute nodes (DCNs) on a group of managed host machines is provided. The method receives service usage data from a group of managed hosts. The service usage data identifies service usage for each of a plurality of entities associated with each managed host. The method aggregates the received service usage data. The method displays the aggregated service usage data.

Efficient container based application recovery

Stabilizing a container-based application includes determining a health of a container. Based on the container health, a most recent stable version of an image for the container is identified. A container image is considered stable if containers spawned from the image have a relatively high MTTF and relatively low MTTR compared to other versions of same image. The container is then deployed using the most recent stable version of the image for the container.

Selection of service providers for message transmission on online social networks

In one embodiment, a method includes identifying a mobile service provider network (SPN) and a geographic location of an online social network user and accessing a service-provider table associated with the identified mobile SPN and with the geographic location. The service-provider table indexes a reliability score and a sampling amount for multiple messaging-service providers in the geographic location. The method further determines, based on the service-provider table, whether any of the messaging-service providers has a sampling amount below a threshold sampling amount and sends messaging traffic via the determined messaging-service provider until the sampling amount is greater than or equal to the threshold sampling amount. The messaging traffic is used to update the reliability score for the messaging-service provider. The method further includes selecting a messaging-service provider based on the updated reliability scores of the messaging-service providers and sending a message to the user via the selected messaging service-provider.

Dashboard overview navigation and search system

Systems and methods for a dashboard overview showing dashboards available for a user, a visual key of available dashboards and simplified access to most recently used dashboards are disclosed. A dashboard represents a user-defined display of key performance indicators (KPIs) in a manner perceived convenient by the user creating the dashboard. As dashboards have evolved a sharing aspect of dashboards has been determined to be a mechanism to promote reuse of dashboards. Including a visual clue on a dashboard selection page as to the underlying display presentation method has been determined to be an important aid in allowing for navigation amongst a plurality of dashboards available in an enterprise system. Sharing and retrieval techniques for dashboards are disclosed.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATED GOVERNANCE, RISK, AND COMPLIANCE

Systems and methods for configuration vulnerability checking and remediation are provided. The systems provided herein identify risk based upon service indications of a particular configuration, such that automated risk analysis may be facilitated.

Health status monitoring for services provided by computing devices

This application sets forth various techniques for monitoring a status of a service. According to some embodiments, a DNS server can implement a health check engine that monitors the status of the service in order to implement round-robin DNS among a plurality of availability zones. Each service instance for the service can include a monitoring agent configured to (1) monitor the status of the service instance, and (2) respond to health check messages received from the health check engine. The monitoring agent can also be configured to (1) collect statistics associated with one or more service dependencies of the service instance during a tracking window, (2) calculate at least one ratio based on the statistics collected during the tracking window, and (3) generate the status of the service instance by comparing the at least one ratio to a threshold value.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ANALYSIS OF PROCESS PERFORMANCE
20210051081 · 2021-02-18 ·

A system and method is disclosed for performance analysis of processes in a managed network. Processes may be represented as sets of activities, and an audit database may be configured for logging activities within the managed network. Database may include fields to identify process instances, process classes, process states, and process transitions. A server device may receive a request from a client device to view information representative of multiple process instances. The server device may select a plurality of process instances according to filter criteria applied to the data fields of the audit database records, and generate a graphical representation of interconnections between the one or more data fields of the selected plurality based on a statistical analysis of the one or more data fields of the audit database records corresponding to the selected plurality of process instances. The server may then transmit the graphical representation to the client device.

Method and system to proactively determine potential outages in an information technology environment

A method and a system for determining and preventing outages in an IT network by predicting status, utilization, performance, or a combination thereof for IT resources is disclosed. The method includes extracting and classifying data for one or more parameters associated with a plurality of nodes. A set of historical metrics and real-time metrics are used for predicting status score, utilization score, and performance score of IT infrastructure resources. The predictions are compared with a predetermined threshold limit for identifying potential outage in the network. A summary indicating the predictions are displayed to an administrator for preventing and mitigating the potential downtime.

Service offering wish list ordering interface and conflict scheduling calendar system

Systems and methods for a service portal interface including a service offering catalog and conflict scheduling calendar are disclosed. A service offering catalog may make available tangible hardware and infrastructure equipment to employees of an organization via a web-based ordering system. The service offering catalog may also make available non-tangible services to be performed in support of one or more employees of the organization. The conflict calendar scheduling system may provide a graphical conflict detection and resolution interface incorporating calendar style view and drag and drop capability such than an end-user may adjust parameters of a scheduled update to align with other requested work items of an enterprise and result in a conflict free timeslot for maintenance and upgrade tasks.
