Systems and methods for point of sale data synchronization
11263612 · 2022-03-01 · ·

The present disclosure relates generally to providing a mechanism for communication between point of sale devices. Using network technology and novel processes, the present systems and methods can share transaction records among multiple devices without the presence of a physical server. For example, in certain embodiments, the present systems and methods leverage virtual server technology to implement local area networks of point of sale devices with zero configuration.

Distributed dynamic architecture for error correction

Various systems and methods may be used to implement a software defined industrial system. For example, an orchestrated system of distributed nodes may run an application, including modules implemented on the distributed nodes. The orchestrated system may include an orchestration server, a first node executing a first module, and a second node executing a second module. In response to the second node failing, the second module may be redeployed to a replacement node (e.g., the first node or a different node). The replacement mode may be determined by the first node or another node, for example based on connections to or from the second node.

Arbitration Method, Apparatus, and System Used in Active-Active Data Centers
20170317875 · 2017-11-02 ·

An arbitration method, apparatus, and system, relates to the field of computer technologies, where the arbitration method, executed by a first data center, includes viewing a preset arbitration policy when determining that communication between the first data center and a second data center is interrupted, and an arbitration device cannot perform arbitration, and continuing providing a service when determining, according to the arbitration policy, that the first data center is a preferred data center, or stopping providing the service when determining, according to the preset arbitration policy, that the first data center is not the preferred data center, where the first data center and the second data center are active-active data centers. Hence, the arbitration method, apparatus, and system solve a problem of a service interruption caused by a fault of the arbitration device, therefore an uninterrupted service is provided for a user.

SELECTIVELY ADDING USERS TO CHANNELS IN A GROUP-BASED COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
20220060540 · 2022-02-24 ·

Methods, media, and systems are disclosed for adding new users to a channel in a group-based communication system. The system receives a request to add new users to a channel. The system adds a new user by classifying the new user's email address domain as internal or external. If the domain is internal, the first user is added to the channel as a member, and if the domain is external, the user is prompted for a type of access for the new user. If the new user's access type is guest, the new user is added to the channel as a guest. If the type of access is shared, the channel is shared with an organization associated with the domain, and the new user is added as a member of the channel that has been shared.

CLOUD BASED PEER ASSISTED UPDATES IN A DEVICE MANAGEMENT ENVIRONMENT
20170310742 · 2017-10-26 ·

Peer assisted updates can be provided in a device management environment. When it is desired to deploy an update to a group of managed devices, an update command can be sent to a first set of managed devices in the group instructing these managed devices to download the update. Once these managed devices have downloaded and installed the update, they will notify the management server. In response, the management server can instruct these managed devices to remain awake so that they may each function as a master device or repository for deploying the update to other managed devices in the group. The management server can then send update commands to the other managed devices instructing them to download the update from one of the managed devices that is now acting as a master device. This process can be repeated until all managed devices in the group have been updated.

Determining the status of a node based on a distributed system
09800423 · 2017-10-24 · ·

A computing device configured for determining a node status is described. The computing device includes a processor and instructions in memory. The computing device determines a representative node corresponding to a network group with multiple nodes. The computing device also sends a status retrieval directive to the representative node. The status retrieval directive includes a directive for retrieval of the node status of a target node. The computing device also receives the node status of the target node from the representative node and stores the node status on a database.

Network range extender with multi-RF radio support for plurality of network interfaces

A networked system for managing a physical intrusion detection/alarm includes a network of end nodes, e.g., sensor nodes including one or more constrained sensor nodes for sensing physical conditions, and a gateway to provide network connections for the constrained sensor nodes. The system also includes a range extender for connecting the one or more constrained sensor nodes to the gateway, with the range extender including first and second radios and corresponding processors to wirelessly communicate with the gateway and constrained nodes.

Envelope tracking amplifier apparatus incorporating single-wire peer-to-peer bus

An envelope tracking (ET) amplifier apparatus is provided. The ET amplifier apparatus includes an ET integrated circuit (ETIC) and a distributed ETIC (DETIC) coupled to a single-wire bus that correspond to a first bus access priority and a second bus access priority, respectively. The ETIC and the DETIC can contend for access to the single-wire bus by asserting a bus contention indication(s) when the single-wire bus is in a defined bus state configured to permit bus contention. In a non-limiting example, a winner for the single-wire bus is a peer device having a highest bus access priority between the ETIC and the DETIC. In this regard, each of the ETIC and the DETIC can have a chance to initiate communications over the single-wire bus, thus making it possible for the single-wire bus to function based on bidirectional peer-to-peer (P2P) bus architecture capable of supporting more application and/or deployment scenarios.

Domain-based Raft consensus selection of leader nodes in distributed data services

Domain-based server-selection computer-implemented processes and machines implement an extension of RAFT consensus for leader selection based on patterns of update data proximity. Accounts involved in payment or other transactions are maintained as “sharded” data across data store instances that are split into shards according to their temporal activity. If the domain attributes for a node exceed a threshold and are greater than the other nodes, the node is designated as a leader node and the others are designated as follower nodes. This provides an additional optimization in network performance by introducing insights in normal operations within a domain in a distributed network. If the domain attributes do not exceed the threshold and/or are not greater than the other nodes, a traditional consensus algorithm is used to select leader and follower nodes.

System for dynamic election of route reflectors
11245613 · 2022-02-08 · ·

A first route reflector client manager determines identifies that a distributed lock has been released, wherein the first route reflector client manager corresponds to a first route reflector client. In response to the determining that the distributed lock has been released, the first route reflector client manager retrieves the distributed lock. In response to retrieving the distributed lock the first route reflector client manager provisions the first route reflector client into a first route reflector. The first route reflector client manager advertises information corresponding to the provisioning of the first route reflector client into the first route reflector, wherein the advertising causes at least a second route reflector client to identify the first route reflector client as the first route reflector.
