MULTI-SENSOR MOTION DETECTION
Use of multiple sensors to determine whether motion of an object is occurring in an area is described. In one aspect, an infrared (IR) sensor can be supplemented with a radar sensor to determine whether the determined motion of an object is not a false positive.
BATTERY EFFICIENT WIRELESS NETWORK CONNECTION AND REGISTRATION FOR A LOW-POWER DEVICE
A client device is configured to communicate with an access point over a wireless network, exchanging data with the access point over a selected communication channel. After the wireless connection to the access point has ended, the client device receives a probe from the access point over a low-level layer, such as a data link layer. In response to receiving the probe, the client device reconnects to the access point.
MULTI-LAYER COMMUNICATION NETWORK
A system comprising a layered network, wherein the layered network comprises a plurality of LN nodes arranged in an ordered set of layers, the ordered set of layers comprising, in order, a core layer comprising a plurality of master nodes each connected to one or more blockchain nodes of a blockchain network, one or more intermediate layers comprising a respective set of intermediate nodes, and a device layer comprising a set of end devices, wherein: each master node is configured to control a respective subset of intermediate nodes; a first master node is configured to control a first subset of intermediate nodes; a second master node is configured to control a second subset of intermediate nodes; and each intermediate node is configured to control a respective subset of end devices.
DISTRIBUTED NETWORK NODES DEFINING A DATABASE ACCESS GATEWAY
A plurality of distributed network nodes may provide a decentralized access gateway to multiple, diverse types of databases. The plurality of distributed network nodes may host a private party blockchain. Each node may execute a peer-to-peer (P2P) client to perform operations associated with the private party blockchain. A subset of the nodes may be configured as validator nodes that may implement gossip protocols to cooperatively validate one or more database operations and generate a new block for the private party blockchain. Another subset of nodes may be configured as host nodes that may receive the new block and update a corresponding local copy of the private party blockchain appending the new block. Utilizing the co-operative validation of database operations and the updates appending the new blocks, the private party blockchain may maintain an immutable digital record of access and updates to the multiple and diverse types of databases.
Network formation for a load control system
A control device may be configured to delay an attachment procedure while attachment messages are being transmitted over the network. The control device may be configured to initiate an attachment procedure with a router device on a network at the end a back-off period of time. The attachment procedure may include transmitting attachment messages (e.g., parent request messages) that enable the control device to transmit and receive messages over the network through the router device. During the back-off period of time, the control device may determine an attachment message is received from another control device on the network. And, if an attachment message (e.g., a parent request messages and/or a link request message) is received from another control device, the control device may increase the back-off period of time (e.g., delaying when the control device initiates its attachment procedure).
Methods and systems for integration of peer-to-peer (P2P) networks with content delivery networks (CDNS)
Disclosed herein are methods and systems for integrating peer-to-peer (P2P) networks with content delivery networks (CDNs). In an embodiment, a method for use in a network storage control peer (NSCP) supporting P2P operation includes receiving swarm stats from a tracker; determining, based on the received swarm stats, a P2P rarity associated with a content piece; and responsive to the determined P2P rarity, transmitting an upload request message to an ingestion gateway, wherein the upload request message indicates that the content piece is to be uploaded to a CDN.
Cooperative download among low-end devices under resource constrained environment
The disclosure provides systems and methods for efficient arrangement, use, and management of networked electronic devices. The networked electronic devices are configured to form a peer-to-peer network, and to allocate management, download, and aggregation responsibilities among themselves to improve efficiency. Networking errors are minimized by replacing faulting nodes with idle nodes.
TECHNIQUES TO ACHIEVE CACHE COHERENCY ACROSS DISTRIBUTED STORAGE CLUSTERS
A leader control plane node of a set of control plane nodes of a node cluster, may receive a request to store data in a distributed storage system including a set of access manager nodes. The leader control plane node may generate cache data identifying an instruction from the leader control plane node to one or more access manager nodes managed by the leader control plane node of the plurality of access manager nodes, the instruction instructing the one or more access manager nodes to store the data indicated in the request. The leader control plane node may then transmit a replication instruction to one or more follower control plane nodes of the plurality of control plane nodes to replicate the cache data in a respective cache of the one or more follower control plane nodes.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING A SELF-ELECTING SERVICE
A method for a self-electing service by a managed device is described. The method includes configuring the managed device with a service. The service is configured on at least one additional managed device in a network segment. The method also includes determining whether the managed device is selected to provide the service by negotiating with the at least one additional managed device in the network segment based on preconfigured election rules.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO DYNAMICALLY CONTROL DEVICES BASED ON DISTRIBUTED DATA
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to dynamically control devices based on distributed data are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a comparator to compare a first measurement measured by a first peer device to a second measurement, the second measurement being measured locally by the apparatus; and an operation adjuster to, when the comparison satisfies a threshold, adjust a measurement protocol of the first peer device.
