SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CROSS-MODALITY COMMUNICATION
20170339264 · 2017-11-23 ·

A multi-modality electronic communication method for communication via end-user selected communication modalities, including (at a server, having access to memory table/s operative to store, for each end user from among a multiplicity thereof, destinations via which the individual end user receives communications via a corresponding plurality of communication modalities): receiving communication/s from Tx client processor/s serving a Tx end user, the communication including content the Tx end user wishes to send to an Rx end user; and an indication of a known destination of an Rx end user, when a first communication modality is employed; extracting the known destination from the communication and retrieving from the table, a retrieved destination other than the known destination via which the Rx end user receives communications via a second communication modality; and sending the content to the Rx end user via the second communication modality to the retrieved destination.

CLOUD-BASED CONTACTS MANAGEMENT

Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for a system for managing and adding contacts. A first mobile device can display an image that can be recorded by a second mobile device. Similarly, the first mobile device can record an image displayed by the second mobile device. The image data from each mobile device can be transmitted to a cloud based contact management system, which can match the images to contact information associated with each mobile device. The contact management system can then push the contact details of each mobile device to the other mobile device, and/or link social media accounts associated with each mobile device. The contact management system can also store connection records that represent an ongoing authorization to push contact information changes from each user to the other, respectively.

A communication device of an aspect includes a communication unit configured to make a communication with another communication device, a memory configured to store a control program, and at least one processor configured to execute a process in accordance with the operation by executing the control program. The memory includes a first storage unit configured to store history information related to the communication and contact information including identification information for identifying the other communication device. The at least one processor is configured to cause a display to display the history information, delete from the first storage unit the contact information selected based on the operation received by an operation unit, and hide the history information on the display when the contact information is to be deleted from the first storage unit, the history information including the identification information included in the contact information to be deleted.

Personnel contact history recording method, electronic device and computer program product

A personnel contact history recording method executable by an electronic device, comprising: scanning surrounding devices via Bluetooth by a preset time interval; requesting a device name and an IMSI of the scanned device, when at least one device is scanned, and generating a surrounding phone list according to the scanned devices; comparing the surrounding phone list with a daily list to determine whether the devices recording in the surrounding phone list are recorded in the daily list; and, if at least one device recording in the surrounding phone list is recorded in the daily list, sending a warning message to the electronic device and a server.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ASSOCIATING MAPPING FUNCTIONALITY AND INFORMATION IN CONTACT LISTS OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION DEVICES

Displaying a map in a mobile communication device. Geographic coordinate information for a location of an address in a contact is determined. A user context for the mobile communications device is also determined. A request for a table of contents of available map data without the map data with the geographic coordinate information of the location as input is sent and the table of contents of available map data is received. A subset of map data comprising less data than is listed in the table of contents for the location corresponding to the geographic coordinate information is selected based on the table of contents of available map data and the user context. The subset of the map data is requested and the map with the subset of the map data is caused to be rendered in the display.

Dynamic voicemail receptionist system

A voicemail receptionist system includes a memory and a processor. The memory can store data relating to one or more users. An incoming communication can be handled by the voicemail receptionist system and provided with functionality based upon a user's preferences, for example. The data stored by the voicemail receptionist system can be updated at any time, or automatically updated upon updating of the data, or upon occurrence of a trigger event. Voicemail receptionist functionality can include standard voicemail system functionality as well as functionality relating to email, text messaging, MMS messaging, calendar features, schedule announcements, location data, as well as other features.

Handling information items

A method comprises receiving, via a user interface of a user terminal, an indication of a user selection of a contact identifier, identifying, from plural event information items stored in at least one memory, an event information item which is associated with the selected contact, wherein each of the plural event information items has a timestamp associated therewith, and causing a graphical chronology to be displayed on a display (14) of the user terminal, wherein the graphical chronology comprises plural sub-regions (50-1-50-3) each relating to a different time interval, wherein the graphical chronology includes a graphical representation of the identified event information item (53, 55), the graphical representation being located in a one of the sub-regions (50-1-50-3) based on a comparison of the timestamp associated with the identified event information item and the time interval to which the sub-region (50-1-50-3) relates.

GENERATING PREDICTED CONTACTS FOR A PHONE APPLICATION
